In my game, Grunt survived throughout the game, but was not shown during the extended cut DLC with Wrex greeting the Krogan. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

Laziness?
IDK, has he shown for other people?
If not, its likely Bioware didn't find him, like so much else, important enough to be in the endings. I was in the same boat, though I don't remember if I saw Grunt or not in the EC. It wasn't really that memorable a DLC.

I 'unno.

Grunt was in there for me. Standing in the shuttle door with Wrex.

Well I guess they've left some things open to interpretation, as they should. As far as my opinion goes, after the rebuilding, Grunt became one of Wrex's top lieutenants and they worked together to make a more peaceful rise of a Krogan kingdom/empire. Other people may have other conclusions as to what came of him after the war, and that's cool too.

I prefer it that not everything is spelt out to us on the screen, so as to let us think a little.

Did you choose the Synthesis ending, because I think that's the one he doesn't show up in for some reason, being replaced by another random Krogan wearing Warlord armour when getting out of the shuttle with Wrex. I'm pretty sure that it's him for Destroy and Control though.

He's in there but only for the Destroy and Control endings. I've never seen it first hand before though because I always choose Synthesis (This somehow makes me worse than Hitler though)

I'd wager the krogan vanguard you see standing next to wrex IS grunt. Synthesis probably augmented his tank bred benefits into something more.

Also synthesis is fine and star kid does have a point. ( though I stick with destroy to ensure my shepards survival)

All good points. I did choose synthesis, because, while I didn't agree fully with any of the endings, I didn't want to kill the Geth and EDI. So I had the random krogan (Grunt?) with warlord armor on in the shuttle with Wrex. Thanks for all of your responses!

I don't know, I stuck to my guns and didn't buy it. If/when they make enough DLC to have the ending totally unrecognisable, I'll let you know :)
