Mass Effect 3 Resurgence

So, what does everyone think of the Resurgence pack? What cool characters did you unlock and what loot box did you get them from? Get any of the new weapons? Stuff?

Personally, I just got home from work so I haven't had a chance to dig in yet. I did buy a few of the Premium Spectre loot boxes but didn't really get anything I wanted (or even anything new at all, I think). Either I'm unlocky (probable) or maybe the new stuff isn't classified as rare enough to be in the Premium box? Anyway, I definitely look forward to trying out teh new levels later on.

Hmm.. didn't think about that and figured that the items you got were generated at time of opening rather than when the box was included in the store. Thanks for the enlightenment.

I didn't have a lot stockpiled, but I got a Geth Plasma SMG on the 1 Spectre pack I opened. It's meh, but then most SMGs are. The rate of fire increases if you hold down the trigger, so it works best if you optimize it for that, give it the heat sink and the extended mags. The only problem with that is it requires extended fire, which means you'll be leaving yourself exposed in a short-range firefight. Personally, I won't use it, I can achieve the same results with a Carnifex.

I love the new maps, Firebase Hydra has exactly the level of lighting I like on a map. And I'm definitely looking forward to a Krogan Vanguard whenever I unlock it.

Can't say I care too much about new guns though, I'll stick with my Phalanx.

That sounds useful, actually. I always keep an SMG as my backup weapon since you can make them pretty much weightless with the lightweight materials mod. I use them to wear down shields on targets like an Atlus or Geth Prime (mostly when they are preoccupied with another target).

Though I've not really been in the mood to play the multiplayer much anymore. Teams started getting too frustrating, and I always just think I'm better off playing more TF2 for my (only) multiplayer fix.

Got the new assault rifle, krogan vanguard, and smg (haven't tried the new rifle or krogan yet though). The smg however has become the standard for my human sentinel, not that it ever really gets used given how I play that class.

edit: the scariest thing I've seen is someone who already had a mark 10 of the new smg... do not want to know how many credits that guy had sitting around.

.. I-I don't.. *sad now* I didn't get the Resurgence DLC. It's not showing up for me on my Xbox Live Marketplace. Is there a specific way to check? Sorry for asking, but I really wanted Geth Engineer.

On the main menu go into the Option Downloadable content, thats how I got it.

Also I got a Geth Infiltrator from my first pack I opened today, and a Black Widow in the second

The new assault rifle can do a ton of damage, but it kicks like a mule and eats ammo like popcorn if you try to fire it on automatic. Not really a reliable gun at anything but close range. I love the Batarian Soldiers spike shot. I took the explosion damage at the end, which removes the bleed after 4 seconds and causes the spikes to explode. Basically, any lighter enemy with 70% or less health is killed or nearly killed if you hit them from close range, with a delightful gib explosion no less. It was also funny to have a Banshee kill herself meleeing me thanks to the Blade Armor.

Opened two Spectre packs, and I got a M37-Falcon in one. At first I was puking rainbows, but after confirming that it was a complete piece of sh*t, I'm back to carnifexing my way through the credits.

I want that geth infiltrator so bad.

I got the new Harpoon Gun after splurging on Spectre packs, and besides also unlocking Krogan Soldier, it was pretty much a bust. Guess I'll have to keep plugging away if I want to unlock those Geth Classes. I already have Geth Pulse Rifle, SMG and Shotgun, so where are the damn Geth Classes! This platform wishes to fight!!

I have all of the characters and all of the new weapons . . . I got really lucky with those premium packs.

The Geth classes are alright, but I'm not a tech kind of player. I prefer biotics. That said the Battlemaster is godly. The Justicar is great, too. Her Biotic Sphere is excellent for holding points. But I honest think the Batarians take the cake. I solo'd on Bronze with a Batarian soldier and didn't go down or even need a survival pack.

Seriously, the Batarians are amazing. Their melee is better than the Krogan. No joke.

As for the guns, I wasn't too impressed by any of them. I can't snipe worth shit so the harpoon was terrible for me. But I can see it being devastating in the right hands. SMGs don't do it for me. The Striker was pretty decent, though. Eats up ammo like a *****, though.


I like the Maps, too.

Not necessarily, you can get everything from recruit packs, however its incredibly incredibly unlikely.

Bronze is a terrible way to judge a classes worth. EVERYTHING can solo bronze.

I'm telling you, try the class. Spec him for melee/Blade Armor (And that arm cannon, I forget it's name) and witness the beauty first hand. Batarians wreck.

I ranked top in near all of my Silver matches using him.
