I have the utmost faith in Bioware to make great games (D.A. 2 wasn't that bad, and even if it were I think that Bioware gets a bit of a pass seeing as it was a rare miss on their part), but I am worried about how they will do M.E. 3. I just don't see how it can be an RPG at this point, and it seems more like a shooter concept...

Anyone else feel a little nervous about this?

Not really, I think they are going for a mix of the shooter part from ME2 and the RPG part from ME1. (I havnt played the first but I hear it had a much deeper RPG element)
What I am worried about is Dungeon Siege III. I loved the first one and now they have seemed to make it more of a spammy hack and slash to suit the consoles more.

It's going to have the exact same gameplay as Mass Effect 2. They're not going to bother changing a formula that sold so well and received so many awards. And Dragon Age 3 will play exactly like DA2.
And if they did change the gameplay, then ppl would complain.

They keep it the same = ppl complain

They change it = ppl complain.

its a no-win situation.

Well, Mass Effect has always been a hybrid of a Third Person Shooter and an RPG, that's how the trilogy was designed. Mass Effect 1 had the RPG mechanics pretty much down but the shooting mechanics were mediocre at best. Mass Effect 2 vastly improved the shooting mechanics, though they streamlined some of the RPG elements (though this really just meant 4 levels of improvement rather than an unnecessary 15 or so).

Mass Effect 3, according to GameInformer, is looking for a happy medium.

of course they are going to change some aspects of it, I'm hoping for some deep story telling that bioware is quite good at, but, with as little time as they have spent in between sequels I'm not going to hold my breath. I'll just prepare myself for some story and a lot of action.

It would be nice if they could better integrate the dialog into the action scenes, what Mass Effect 2's did wrong with was:
COVER SHOOTER -> LENGTHY DIALOG -> COVER SHOOTER -> LENGTHY DIALOG -> END MISSION. What I would love would be a scene where Shepard and another soldier are running and shooting their way through an enemy encampment while exchanging information about Earth WHILE the player interacts with both things at the same time.

I would rather enjoy if they added more 'use' for your abilities. Cause as a Vanguard I found that the 'Charge' ability was useful for full force body slamming into enemies, but I often wished I could use it to travel quickly into better cover or get to places that others couldn't. It'd be interesting if they added features like that, maybe have special melee moves for stealth, controllable drones and placeable turrets for engineers, maybe add some breakable enviromental objects that soldiers have to use concussion on, maybe access to hidden areas or cover that can only be accessed by moving rubble with biotics, ect.

It's just that you'd imagine that realistically all these abilities would have more then just singular uses, so why is it that I'm stuck just picking the Soldier class everytime since the other abilities feel...kinda useless (Cause guns seem to actually kill better and faster).
