For generations, we had shit load of star wars games. But we each have our own favorite games out of the franchise.

Super Star Wars Series

Some of you younger generations may have never heard of this series. It's 2d platformer games that followed the original trilogy for the Super Nintendo. Before this, all people had for SW games was the crappy ones in NES (Watch AVGN for further reference). It was fun, you got to play as appropriate characters, and it was challenging

Original SW: Battlefront II

Made by now closed Pandemic Studio (thanks, EA), the game had 64 multiplayer maps. The game also had a great story involving the 501st Legion during clone wars era that would become Vader's first. There are many stages (both campaign and multiplayer map) where you take part in the events of the movie, and the hero system could be BOTH canon and non-canon. Plus, it has more maps, space battle, vehicle gameplay, and a good class system.

SW: Knights of the old republic

The game that made Bioware famous. Fun fact: Bioware was given of choice of either making tie-in game with Ep.2 OR come up with a completely different setting. BW made the wise choice of later. KOTOR is a truly a classic RPG that inspired both Mass Effect and Dragon Age series. The game has great replayability and the plot-twist that wasn't foreseen at the time of the release.

Lego Star Wars Series

And now for something a bit light-hearted. Lego star wars series is probably one of my favorite Lego game series. I remember spending hours with my friends and my sister playing the two player mode all the time. Whether it's the Complete Saga, Clone Wars, or The Force Awakens, LEGO did a supreme job of making their star wars games that had lighthearted jokes that were actually funny.

Jedi Knight series

Or to be specific, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. These series allowed you to use so many force powers that made you feel like a badass. Turning on the cheats to unlock all force powers at their max level is such a fun experience. You will feel amazing when you use force lightning on bunch of stormtroopers or force push to send them flying off the ledge.

The Force Unleashed

Here's a star wars game that makes you feel like a badass for our modern time gamers. The dark story of Starkiller takes you to the various locations throughout the galaxy, and the powers you gain makes you feel unstoppable

Not a Star Wars fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I did very much enjoy Knights of the Old Republic and The Force Unleashed, particularly the latter.

My favorites will always be the Super Star Wars games for the SNES and Jedi Knight II on PC.

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

Kyle Katarn is the coolest Jedi and that game needs a remaster ASAP. Jedi Knight stories are a lot better than latest Disney Star Wars movies. And Dessan and Tavion are better villains than Snoke and Kylo Ren.

Man, the variety of game types in this list... and then I look at where Star Wars games are now and it makes me sad we'll probably never see the same level of creativity and variety in a Star Wars game again. At least not while EA has its claws dug into the IP.

I actually haven't played very many of them. That said, I've liked the ones I've played...

Rogue Squadron
Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader
Episode 1: Battle For Naboo (the movie it's based on sucks, but hey, it's basically more Rogue Squadron)
Dark Forces
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II
Force Commander
The Old Republic
Shadows of the Empire

Happy May the 4th! Amazingly Swery's new game, The Good Life, actually managed to get funded and the deadline was today.

Oh yeah, Star Wars. I haven't played that many, but I think you pretty much nailed it in the OP. Not much else to say really, other than Carth was a whiny dipstick.

X-Wing Vs Tie-Fighter and Super Star Wars: The Last Jedi are the first that come to mind.

Tie Fighter

Just an awesome game and probably the only SW game that successfully made the Empire look sympathetic. Like you really were this well-intentioned military force that just wanted to bring a semblance of the rule-of-law to the galaxy and why can't those rebels/secessionists/pirates just understand that?

Great moments too like when your briefing specifically warns you against issuing any orders to Darth Vader.

Rogue Squadron and The Old Republic. I actually beta-tested the latter, and while I don't play it now it kept me entertained for years. Probably the only time I've ever complained about a boss battle being nerfed (the False Emperor, the final boss of 'vanilla'), because the nerf removed some of its uniqueness and drama.

X-Wing and TIE Fighter are both masterpieces, XW vs TF not so much.

Rogue Squadron 1 is good, 2 phenomenally great, 3 jumped the shark.

Star Wars Battlefront 1 (2004) is goofy but genuine fun, battlefront 2 (2005) is an almost perfect game bursting at the seams with content.

haven't played X-Wing Alliance yet but hear it's pretty robust.

Don't believe the people who tell you Shadows of the Empire is good. It's really not...

I always liked Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight. I tried to play the sequel, Jedi Outcast, but I was disappointed with the downgrade from full live action FMVs to CGI talking heads so I couldn't even get past the second level. Also DFII was one of the few games I ever played online and that was back in the days of dial-up.

I liked the AoE2 reskin they made years ago.
It was a fairly solid RTS.

I really, really, loved the Pod Racing game.
Used to go to an arcade and toss a good 5 dollars a week (.25c a pop) into that thing.
