So Cliffy comes out and says we're being "played" by Sony and that the death of used game sales and game rentals will be necessary if we want to keep playing quality AAA games. So, what I'm getting from this, is that Cliffy thinks Microsoft is SAVING us by SCREWING us. That console developers should follow in the Xbox One's foot steps in order to save the industry and the bloated AAA publishers that it's comprised of.
I'm sorry, maybe it's too early in the morning for me to be attempting a rational sounding post, but am I the only one that wants to grab Cliff by the shoulders and shake him while shouting, "MAYBE IT'S A GOOD THING IF THEY AREN'T SAVED, CLIFFY!" We are the customers. It is not our job to save you, big businesses. It is your job to save yourselves, to fix yourselves. To adapt and adjust as the market changes. Instead, you keeping charging forward with your same archaic/shitty business tactics that you've been using for nigh on two decades. Anytime you run into a financial roadblock, you've made it the customers problem to solve, not yours, and the Xbox One is the ultimate proof that I'm not just making this crap up. This console is a change that benefits us customers in no way. It only benefits you. Maybe we as customers would be more inclined to help you survive if you wanted to work with us and made yourselves more endearing to us, but it's obvious that you're instead working against us and don't even think of us as customers anymore. Hell, I don't even think you consider us law abiding citizens anymore seeing as how the Xbox One may as well come with an ankle bracelet.
Whatever. Maybe I'm just caught up in all the "Xbone" hate. Maybe I'm just sick of the current state that the industry is in (A state in which Sony can start charging us for multi-player and we'll still sing praise to them 'cause our other option is the Xbone [Or you could join me for some PC gaming {Not that the PC world is without its own faults...}]). Maybe I'm just crazy and I needed to rant for a sec. Maybe I'll go outside and forget about games for a while...
