This thread was created to try and start a discussion on ME3 THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE THE STORY. PLEASE LEAVE IT OUT OF THIS THREAD.

Me3 has been out for a few weeks now and I have been playing the multiplayer quite a bit. After about rank 40 I started to play gold which never gets easy no longer how long you play it. The multiplayer is great and unlike a lot of other horde modes it keeps me entertained due to the weight and leveling systems, and promotions. The ability to play a class multiple ways instead of one is really keeps the game from going stagnate on me. So far the only thing I think they can improve is putting a rank requirement for gold. Seriously I'm tired of having to kick level 1 people because they don't know what they are getting into.

This is basically just a thread to rant or tell stories of the multiplayer on ME3 I'm curious of how other people perceive it.

It's fun. Bit limited though. Too few maps, too few classes, too few objectives. It doesn't have a lot of staying power. I'd compare it to spending a week playing Battlegrounds in a MMO, but it lacks the dynamic elements that drive PvP.

I do agree that it does need some more variety if they plan on keeping people around but I'm around N7-270something and still enjoying it every night. If they need to add anything I would say new objectives. More objectives would make each match feel more unique imo.

I found it pretty fun. I always did like Mass Effect's RPG/Shooter hybrid gameplay, and I feel it integrates pretty well into multiplayer. The variety of classes and races to choose from also provides quite a bit of replay value.

Personally I think they could do REAL well by making some actually linear maps. Rather than a big open (in general) area, have levels that let you feel like you're actually on a mission. I'm talking "Get from the LZ to this point in an enemy facility, grab the data we need, then get your ass back to the LZ for extraction." I think that would make things VERY interesting.

But at least they're trying to keep things fresh with these weekend operations. I'm eagerly looking forward to what Operation Raptor will be.

That would be really awesome... they would probably have to spend a fortune on level designers though :p

Baaaah I don't think it would be that tough. The maps wouldn't have to be too deep, just instead of making a big circle(ish) shape, stretch it out into a line. Bronze could have you go a short distance in and get back out, Silver could have you go half way in get back out, Gold would make you have to go all the way in and get back out.

I love it and met quite a few nice people playing it, but yeah I think they might have to do some more events or make some more maps if they want to keep people interested.

One thing that annoys me is that if you stick to playing one character your n7 rating doesn't get any higher so you look like a noob when in fact you are an Asari adept with a nice weapon.

It's a bit of a silly rating system.

While I like the promote every now and then I can't say I understand why they based their ranking system on how often you re-level characters.

I thought it was cool, kept playing way past 100% readiness. Keep fooling myself into thinking that new maps will be free, though, TF2 has conditioned me too much :D

I'm really liking the different packs every week. New extra equipment pack this week. I need it too becaue I used all my rockets playing gold this weekend.
They need some new maps though. Be they linear, circular or even verticle. I am getting a little bored of the ones we have.

I've been having a lot of fun with the multiplayer.

I (finally) unlocked Salarian Infiltrator last night, so I'm rather looking forward to being able to Energy Drain the shields off mobs that would have otherwise been 2-shot kills for my M-98 Widow. Being able to restore my own shields on the fly is a nice little perk too.

I wonder how long it'll take me to unlock the additional coloring options now. I miss my woodland camo armor.

Ive been enjoying it for the past 4 weeks, heck ever since the demo came out, but yeah it gets stale real fast, specially now that I know the cheap dirty tactics to always get a perfect extraction and survival bonus from gold matches. Grab Spam is ungodly broken in the game.

I will probably keep doing it until I get a Black Widow X

I think it is a fun part. I just hope that when the time comes and the servers are offline they will change galactic readiness to a permanent 70-80%.

The multiplayer is most fun to play when you battle reaper forces. Killing hordes of brutes and banshees. It is really fun when a brutes charges at you in a narrow corridor, you back up trying to avoid it while you constantly shoot it.

Also thought I'd leave this here: http://blog.bioware.com/2012/03/28/operation-raptor/

Operation Raptor sounds neat if a little ill-timed. I just promoted two characters :(

:p I promoted my Engineers and Infiltrators for last weekend's operation for the bonus exp....yyyyeeeeah I'm not in too much of a hurry to promote either of them again, and I'm certainly not going to promote my new favorite class: Sentinel. Seriously, the only drawback to the Turian Sentinel is no dodging ability. Other than that, being able to spam chain-overload every 2 seconds is just ridiculously useful.

I'll probably finish up my soldiers (currently lvl 17) and then take a pick between adepts or vanguards. My problem with adepts and vanguards are the only ones that I'd be interested in are the Asari for their stasis...they would be completely badass except their dodges eat up their barriers! And at that point......why bother even dodging if you're essentially going to take a hit anyways?
