Garrus did not have a weak ass immune system that would make him die if he was exposed to so much as the air outside his suit. Tali did. Yet they explained it all away as what? She took some super vitamins and now she is fine to do whatever she wants? Thats just garbage writing.
Now all I can think is that the Quarians should stfu about their lost planet, take their vitamins and just go somewhere else.
As for the customisation, sure that was a point deducted from ME2 but was not worth getting annoyed over. However Miranda being able to survive in a vacuum with just a breathing mask on was once again poorly done. And don't even get me started on the stupidity of Shepard being able to drink through his helmet and the way the person at Bioware handled that complaint.
Anyway the story is the most important thing and thats where they dropped the ball. The universe took a back seat to sorting out your teams issues. Shepard shoulda ***** slapped each one of them and told them to get the fuck over it. The way they also handled the end mission was crap. Your unloyal team mates did not refuse to take orders and thus die in a meaningful way. They just took a random bullet that had nothing to do with them being loyal or not. Once again, lazy.
I could have tolerated the hand holding and mommy issues
if it was just setting it up so thats your team for ME3. ME3 wont be about recruiting a team since hey, you wasted all of ME2 getting them. So ME3 will be solely dedicated to stopping the Reapers. But what with you being able to lose all your team mates it just ended up a weak game with no real pay off.
And hell even the environments were smaller. So there goes your awesome sense of exploration.
