MGS PS1 Classic - Video Settings Issue

I brought the PS1 version of Metal Gear Solid from PSN store yesterday but everytime I run the game it says can't run under current video settings. So I have to change from my HDMI set up to the basic AV setup to get the game working but someone I know can play the game under their HDMI settings. Anyone know what the hell is going off and are all PS1 Classics like this ?

Some Xbox Classics can only run in 50Hz mode, though I think a workaround was developed. Probably something similar has happened with PS1 classics.

I went into my HDMI display settings 560, 720 & 1080 (P & I) and turned them all off and put them back on one at a time to see if any of them were causing the issue.

560 - ok
720 - ok
1080 I - ok
1080 P - ok

its now working after I turned them off and put them back, one by one. I don't have a clue why but I won't complain. I do Hope I don't have to do that everytime I turn my PS3 back on.
