Microsoft E3 conference was great!

Maybe because I've been supporting Microsoft and xbox since 2005, or maybe it's because EA set the standard so low with their lousy conference, but I thought Microsoft did really well with their time this year. First off, tons of game announcements. The games announcements include, but not limited to:

Ori and the will of the wisps (I think I was foaming in my mouth)
Kingdom Hearts III( omgsodfoadsfjadsof!!!!)
Halo: Infinite (about fucking time)
Shadow of the tomb raider (Lara looks gooooodddd)
Forza 4 (might be the first forza game that I get)
Metro: Exodus (Yes, [lz)
Crackdown 3 (disappointed about the delay, but at least it's coming out)
Fallout 76 (holy shit!!!)
Jump Force (anime fans are gonna love/hate this)
Tunic (looks like a light-hearted colorful adventure)
Gears 5(been waiting for this!)
Cyberpunk 2077 (finally, some gameplay)

first time i've been excited to own an Xbox One in years. Hopefully the new Halo Infinite doesn't turn out Shit like 5 though...

It was fine. About the same as last year.

They still haven't adressed their extreme lack of exclussives, but they bought up some studios so who knows. I love though how they proudly announced buying Ninja Theory, and then moments later at the unveiling of Devil May Cry 5 one of the dudes says how they listened to fans who wanted a proper sequel to DMC4. Ouch!

Ori is just not for me.

I am glad they didn't play Let It Go when they showed the Frozen level of Kingdom Hearts III.

Halo: Infinite is still a mystery. It has Master Chief's older Halo 2 Helmet and not his current design so is it a throwback to the past game? ANd what is it at all? An MMORPG because I was getting that kind of vibes.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider looked averagely decent.

Forza 4, well my brother might be interested in that.

Metro Exodus is looking very good, I still wonder how STALKER 2 will handle it.

Never cared for Crackdown

Fallout 76 looks better than Fallout 4 by visuals alone also I am seeing Fallout 1 era Brotherhood of Steel armor in that game.

I would have prefered if they added Luffy and Naruto and what have you as guest charcaters in Dragon Ball FighterZ than this.

Tunic is for babies.

I would have prefered a Remaster to Gears 2.

Cyberpunk 2077, I won't blind myself to the hype though.

Frankly, it was pathetic. So pathetic that they're already advertising their next console and the exclusives it'll have, because they know they've lost this race.

Also Battletoads was clearly Microsofts response to Cuphead what with them saying it will have handdrawn animaton.

You're implying that I care about Battletoads.

But even that aside, Battletoalds is just one of a handful of exclusives. We can discuss the games showcased in their own right, but as a Microsoft conference, what did we see? Halo Infinite? Don't know anything about it. Crackdown 3? Even if I cared, it's been delayed to 2019. Forza? Sure, if that's your thing. Gears? We've got "Gears Pop" (a mobile game), Gears Tactics (which is PC exclusive for some unfathomable reason), and Gears 5 (which looks okay). Feel free to correct me if there were any exclusives I missed, but just because you showcase third party games on your system, it doesn't mean those games are inherently better on your system. And again, I'll point out the tacit admission they seem to be making that for their next console, they need to step up their game.

The only game on that list worth paying attention to is Ori, and even then it wont be as good as the first and will probably be a Xbone exclusive so no one will play it. Everything else looks like more recycled tripe

Just because one's conference is better than EA's, it doesn't make the conference "good."

And at the least, EA had Anthem. I'm not sold on the game, but I still find it more interesting than anything Microsoft showed (exclusives-wise at least).

So, by that logic, if one game is in a conference that you care about, that makes it "great" by default.

I care about Gears of War 5. That doesn't mean it automatically elevates the rest of the conference in quality.

Meh, I'm hyped for some of the games they announced. Shadows Die Twice is gonna be fucking slick. But I saw nothing that is going to be a killer exclusive. Most of the games they announced are coming to PS4 too. And all of them are going to be on PC, so again who fucking cares about Xbox?

Huh, I thought KH3 would've been part of Sony's conference. Now that, I am excited for. Spider-man, Kojima's stuff, Splinter Cell maybe?

In general though, only Cyberpunk really piqued my interest. I guess it was alright though, better than a few years ago.

EDIT: So it seems that Halo Infinite is the sequel to Halo 5, except 343 changed the art style due to feedback. Thank GOD, because I really hated the look of Spartan armor in 5.
