So this is sort of interesting.

Comcept is letting people buy pre-orders of Mighty No 9, at the pre-release-day price.

They're also letting people buy additional rewards, like a retro game manual. And they've said that the money from those additional rewards will go toward new stretch goals, building on what they promised in the kickstarter. So far they've promised voice actors, and they've hinted at additional characters.

I know it's easy to be cynical and say they're just looking for more money, but they're basically just opening their storefront and saying they'll add things to the game as thanks for support.

I mean it's another pledge drive to improve the game we haven't yet got from the first one... I would really much rather we got a game first, the voices and art books can be done later.

But at least they haven't put a broken game on Steam early access at 500% and told everyone to suck it, so they do have some sense of reasonable conduct.

Clearly they've got a schedule from what they could accomplish with the kickstarter funding, and now they're expanding to add icing on the cake, like voice acting.
