What mistakes have you made in multiplayer games?

Just minutes ago, I was playing Choas Theory Versus mode story, and I was a merc. Now I was using a motion sensor and I saw someone hanging, it looked to be a spy from the back and so I began to shoot and killed them and then realized it was my own teammate so I immediatly left the match. XD

I remember playing an older gen online multiplayer shooter, and the graphics were so murky you sometimes couldn't see enemies right in front of you, because they would blend into the terrain. That was years ago, though. Shitty console graphics got me killed back then.

Wish I had a nickel for every time I accidentally killed myself with Hedgehogs in Resistance 2. I find myself screaming "Come on! The wall isn't THAT high! It should NOT bounce back!"

Ouch, as a veteran MOBA player, there are few mistakes I haven't made relating to that genre.

I suppose one of the worst mistakes would have been not too long ago in League of Legends, where a fit of absolute AWFULNESS (and I never use caps) resulted in me simultaneously firing Ashe's ulti (a line shot crystal arrow) backwards, while flashing (a short range teleport spell) directly into the enemy tower.

...Yeah...

This is probably the worst I've made in recent memory, but ironically, I survived, and picked up a kill at the same time.

I like to think I'm damn good at these sorts of games, but a number of teammates who were only there because they were queueing for games with me as fanbois were veritably gob-smacked that the player that kicked their ass could make such an abysmal cock-up.

Didn't half make me look bad... Kill or not.

I was playing America's Army this one time and i had the heavy machine gun and going into a room i suddenly found myself blinded from a flash-bang. So i immediately went prone or crouched or something and spun in a circle shooting blind until my vision came back. When it did i found the three bodies of my teammates... oops.

Well, funny story.

I was playing Team Fortress 2 as a spy, donning my disguise and all. And then, in the middle of a battle, I mistakenly walked over to the other side IN PLAIN SIGHT OF EVERYONE...and the funny part is that nobody noticed and I ganked some guy in the neck anyway. I guess they're not always watching.

Playing CoD4, and accidently killing my whole team with an airstrike.. happened more than once as well. Always that really hard /facedesk. Luckily I have a favorite server, and played there for some time. Have gotten to know the admins now, who understand it was just an honest mistake, so at least I don't get banhammered :p

Friendly fire and rocket launchers. Always friendly fire and rocket launchers.

Although I do admit that there is an inverse correlation between my intoxication level and the likelihood that my friendly fire rocket launching is, in fact, a mistake.

in ETQW the bots use vsay alot, before the patch that introduced voip that and typing was the only means of comunicating, evry time I went on a server players would say hi, and I would type up about enemy at x etc, it wasn't till 2 weeks later that someone joined the server I was on and told me it was all bots I was playing with.....

Probably the worst mistake I've ever made is interact with the other players.
"Funny, the only way to win is not to play." ?

OT: Definitely unloaded a sniper rifle into my own teammates before -- with and without friendly-fire on. Usually play with it off, so I dump a whole clip in some guy complaining, "I KNOW that was a freaking headshot, WTH game!?!" Then I look at the map and realize that it's my teammate and the game just didn't bother to pop up the name.

Thinking there has to be someone among the 16 players on the server friendly enough to give me some tips... Oh to be 14 again. I remember learning a lot of new synonymes for male genitalia that day.
