Well when you think of it, the original MK was supposed to be based on Jean-Claude Van Damme. Ironically enough he went on to do a (horrible) Street Fighter movie.

Also, as cringeworthy as Rousey has gotten, she still thematically identifies with Sonya Blade?s character more than Kerri Hoskins or Bridget Wilson, even though I personally think either are more attractive.

As it is though, Skarlet?s combat looks outstanding even if she herself looks like a feminazi. Can?t wait to see the full roster. Will be preordering since there?s no other way around being able to access all future characters, and this is one series I?ve played from the beginning that has always delivered hundreds of hours of fun.

Then in her big match she lost in the first minute. Took a year off, rebuilt her reputation as a badass, and lost her comeback fight even quicker, and retired basically a laughing stock.

She is to competitive fighting what Michael Jordan was to baseball.

They implemented instant blocking from Blazblue and Guilty Gear, pretty smart of them, that's one of those mechanics where skill is rewarded best. When you see someone who has mastered it you know they're a competent player at the very least.

A lot of people are also excited they took the running out and have the meter fill automatically, which should lead to a vast reduction in spamming certain block strings, projectiles, etc. and matches devolving into 50/50 standoffs. Now only the meter fill speed will be affected by the power of the prior move being used. Having one for both offense and defense, as well as specific moves only being available once per match should lead to interesting situations as well.

It sounds pretty fun, they're apparently trying for more methodical, grounded gameplay compared to the utter rushdown of MKX.

They also somehow made it even gorier than MKX. Skeletons are officially vestigial in the Mortal Kombat universe.

She did manage a decent initial run, but yeah. She was pretty single discipline, and like some of the mens standouts, once the actual mixed-martial trained folks started coming up went the way of the dinosaur pretty quick.


Now she's in WWE and had a decent starting run. But then they hot-shotted her into the title, and she's kind of floundered by being set up as a babyface anytime she goes against more legitimate fan favorites. Which she hasn't exactly handled with the aplomb or showmanship (I don't know why they wrote her as a face to begin with, since celebrity name coming in and getting hyped into main event status is kind of an obvious heel angle (literally being done by Brock Lesnar right now)).

He also suggested that despite the game being more toned down in the clothing damage area when it's out of the box, there could be some type of option setting dlc to increase it like how you could tweak the titty bounce physics of older DoA games, so the fans should quietly look forward to it.

"Climate of sexual repression." Wow...I mean, right for the wrong reasons, I guess?

Don't really mind the options being added, though. Customers are customers. Still nice that "playing one-handed" isn't necessarily the default anymore.
