So I'm guessing there are about a hundred post out their about Modern warfare 2, but i have an concern i would like to here others views on.

With all the new footage out on Modern Warfare 2 every one is getting really excited and i am too! but i can't help but notice all these things in the trailers that are really something you would see in a 007 game/Movie. so I'm wondering if Infinity Ward is forgetting the fact that people like CoD 4 because of its real-ism?
Some things i noticed are:

1. Fire fights on the back of a snowmobile. i mean really i'm pretty sure i have played a 007 game where i did exactly that! i mean it could happen but its stretching it.

2. Throwing knifes. That's reasonable but i can just see already people running around throwing knifes every were or people team killing with knifes. but still to early to tell how they well go about with the throwing knifes.

3. A CASTLE!?!?! Ok so i know their are lots of castles around Europe But does the bad guy always have to have a Fu**ing Castle!

So share your view or tell me why all these are. Maybe I'm just nitpicking too much.

What's wrong with 007? I like the concepts, although I'm partially against MW2 because it seems like a new campaign with 2-4 new perks.

What is so unrealistic about throwing knives and castles? or for that matter shooting people on snowmobiles?
Just because a rather unrealistic movie/game has a location/weapon/element in it, doesn't automatically make it "unrealistic" for any future movie/game to use the same thing, and it not be realistic.

Nah, people liked the game because of the illusion of realism. It made the game seem cool and realistic without making it bland and difficult like it really would be. As for the trailers, I must agree with you partially, things are starting to look a little bit shaky in the sequel. The sheer fact that you even have to ride a snowmobile baffled me, especially if you're in a special forces group on a secret mission or something. I could understand if perhaps you were trapped and desperate, but it seemed they were just riding along shooting things like they were James Bond or something. Plus, dual wielding and throwing knives just adds to the ridiculousness. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

WHO CARES!

I mean, I respect your opinion, but, if the story is good, gameplay is awesome, I wouldn't care.

Nah. After all, soldiers can take a lot of bullets and hide for a couple seconds and come back fine. If that's not "realistic" then I don't know what is.

Throwing knives are rather unrealistic. They are too much work mastering for something that doesn't even work all the much better than a piece of fast moving lead. I could see a snowmobile fight going down, after all, what other type of vehicle fight would you have in the snow? And as for castles... well it depends how it's done.

I hardly think my ability to charge a tank with no cover, plant a bomb on it and run back whilst absorbing more lead than most pencil factories is realistic.

If you thought CoD 4 was realistic, you've got to re-assess life as you know it.

I would hardly call dropping a grenade when you die, firing grenade launchers like artillery and bullets endlessly traveling, with no drop-off, realistic.

Since when was call of duty realistic. Dead people dropping live grenades, insta-kills with a leg shot. Bullets doing more damage, guns firing faster. No I don't think that's realistic.

Hold on a minute, did you just refer to Call of Duty as realistic?

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to confiscate your brain, it's not getting much use.

Who cares? You were pretty much 007 in the first one whenever you were with the SAS. Although, I feel like they'll be losing something if they do the whole "secret undercover multinational taskforce" thing, because I liked how you actually felt like you were invading a country in the first one. It created a feel that you were acutally in a war with thousands of other soldiers instead of being in a fire fight every few minutes with about five other guys.

This.

Even COD4 hardcore was still unrealistic to a large extent. If you want a perfectly realistic game, try ARMA 2. COD4 was never realistic so the new additions don't hurt it.

If I can take five plus bullets, hide behind a tree and come back out like I was just born, then sign me up to the army, it'll be just like XboX. Do I get double tap when I get promoted to corporal?

Locations don't make games unrealistic, Martyrdom makes games unrealistic.

Your complaints are having the opposite effect on me, I was planning on boycotting this game because of Activisions assheadedness in the UK but you just made me want it!

I love the sound of a Snowmobile Fight, if executed well it could be an awesome bit of gameplay.

I'll give you the throwing knives however... not sure what the point is.

However complaining about a castle? Who doesn't like castles, and shooting people in them, especially if it has that Infinity Ward touch that makes it a unique castle fight.

Realism or not I would trust Infinity Ward. BTW throwing knives exist as well as castles and jet skis so saying that it isnt realistic is well.... blind
