Okay I couldn't find anything that I really wanted using the search bar. And please dont flame for being another MW2 thread.

Okay so there are probably about 16 people in the world who dont have this game, now we've all heard the good, and the hype. Tell me about the bad, is the multiplayer balanced? Is the singleplayer ridiculous for some reason. what are the things that really tick people off. So i'm prepared when I finally get this game.

***** about this game as much as you like ^_^

I'm one of the 16, I'll bookmark for giggles and grins. Also, none of these, we drop to our knees reviews. (looking at you, IGN)

I have this game for 360.
The campaign is good, if a little short. Took me 4 1/2 hours on Normal. Playing through on Veteran now to see if enjoyment goes up.
That's my only gripe with it.
Can't comment on online as I haven't yet played it online due to lack of LIVE.

I'm not trying to stop other bitching threads with this thread, i'm honestly just trying to find out the bad about this game.

The campaign was way too easy.

I had the Veteran down in 5-6 hours, and the original Veteran was much more entertaining.

All around it is pretty good. I tended to get really pissed off with the friendly AI on my first veteran playthrough though.

They would do things like yell that they were covering you, and then a russian dude would literally walk up beside you and fill your face with lead, while you were concentrating on killing other dudes.

Also it annoyed me that the enemies could shoot from the hip while running, and hit you with pinpoint accuracy from the otherside of that map, but hey, thats what you expect on the hardest difficulty right?

Beside that I am having a kickass time playing this.

The friendly AI sucks, they'll just run past enemies, or simply stand there while some bad guy is standing right next to them pumping me full of lead

There are several games out there more worthy of your attention and your dollars. You should avoid MW 2 on principal alone :).

For multiplayer some of the kill streaks are a little long lasting. Things like the helicopter gunner. I would like a patch to either shorten the time, or make it based on a maximum kill count. When I launched it for the first time I ended up getting to 11 or 12 kills while I had that control.

I actually wanted to buy this game since I quite enjoyed the first one. Of course, Bobby Kotick screwed over the PC, so I didn't buy it. I wasn't even planning to play the multiplayer in the first place (I developed a phobia of it), but seriously, no leaning? That may seem like a small thing, but it really was a necessity in such a cover-demanding game, or at least very handy. The price increase didn't earn my favor either.

Juggernaut and Martyrdom changed to death streaks is probably the only good difference.

Multiplayer is actually pretty well balanced, although you will occasionally go up against someone who is just crazy good and gets AC-130s twice a match.

Something I have noticed is that there are a LOT more campers than I'm used to in CoD games so far, and many of the maps are set so your team can just camp on rooftops the whole time. Again, sometimes you'll have good games and sometimes you'll get really pissed at people who camp corners with noob tubes.

And really? no leaning? that's one of the most basic things you expect from a pc fps. Glad i'm not a massive pc player.

The only problem is that it is TOO GOOD!

How do you like 'dem apples?

But seriously, the story and multiplayer are awesome, but the kill streaks, while far more fleixble than CoD4, are more bullshitty. Controlling an AC-130 or being the gunner on a attack helicopter are all well and good, but the fact that while in that mode all your enemies are lighted up with a red square is just cheap. With all that firepower, you should have to work for those kills and find them by using the old mark 1 eyeball.

Use search.

"but I've searched!"

No you haven't. There's a billion MW2 threads around covering everything there is to cover. Use those.

As for MW2, the day I fork over 60 bucks for an half-baked mediocre cash in of half a game is the day I start burning 100 dollar bills for the sake of it because I'm just too damn rich to give a shit about wasting money.

I'll concede that I'm probably making an issue out of something small. I just found leaning rather handy in the first Modern Warfare.

I enjoyed it because A) I like CoD, B) I like FPS games, C) I like military simulations, D) Soap Mactavish. I disliked it because it was short, the online is Way better due to some fine tuning. But in the tuning they tried to make it to balanced causing the game to be easy, so if you were good at four you'll be a god in 6. SO basically the game is great and I don't see why a person who enjoys FPS would see otherwise. Also the story is pretty damn good.
