Also, fuck me, I don't know how to embed videos. Huh. There's probably a tooltip somewhere around here, but if someone could help me out, I'd be grateful.
Molyjam 2012 was awesome. I'm curious as to what you think of Molydeux (even Molyneux is somewhat relevant in the thread).
All I really have to say is that, despite this guy being a parody account of Peter Molyneux, his tweets/videos are always great. I always somehow feel inspired.
Perhaps that makes me some sort of hipster, indie game, douche bag. Huh.
I've always liked Molyneux's ideas and even the games that he designed. Although they don't always live up to the hype, I think you still see his ideas in the game, and his ambition is fantastic. Him leaving Microsoft/Lionhead is also pretty inspiring as well.
As for Molydeux: his tweets are hilarious, but just like the video, the tweets contain a lot of stuff we consider implausible or stupid, unreasonable, etc. but it's something that no one ever tries. I don't think we need to constantly innovate in games, but his ideas for experiences are brilliant.
What are your thoughts on the video/Molyneux/Molydeux?
Also, I liked the idea of Curiosity: What's Inside the Cube. It was a great idea, and it did exactly what he said it would: make people curious. Would I have done it differently? Yes. But it served it's purpose, and I think that makes it successful as a game/experiment. I've already helped to back Godus, and am getting the beta of the game. Looking forward to playing it.
