More Gfx card advice

Hey guys

I currently have an ATI HD 5750 graphics card in my computer, but now i want to add a HD 6770 and link them with crossfire (I've checked they should be compatible). My question is Will my 750W PSU be enough to supply both gfx cards and everything else in my system? I will also need an adaptor for the new card since my PSU only has one 6-pin plug for gfx cards.

Also both cards are/will be XFX brand

Edit: also how much more performance will i get using both?

You should be fine, power wise. 750W can run most cards in crossfire - although being a quality unit vs a shit unit does make a difference. Still, the cards you're looking at aren't very high power.

Anyway, the performance would basically be that of crossfire 5750s, which would be just below a 6870. You might want to consider buying a single card and maybe selling the 5750.

That's right, two 5750s (or a 5750 and a 6750) would be the same as having a 6770 with the 5750.

The performance will put it around the same as a 5850 or 6870.

Cost-wise at the moment having my suggestion would be cheaper short-term, but long term maybe having 1 6870 now and another at a later date may be better... What do you think?

You can add second card.
Adding third (or fourth for that matter) is too expensive (proper mainboard, better cooling system, better PSU) and the outcome isn't worth it.

One more question... I've seen pics people with 2 gfx cards using 2 crossfire bridges side-by-side... is this better or no different than 1?

Generally it makes no difference. For me it caused worse performance. The 2nd CF tab is actually meant to extend to a 3rd and even 4th card in a chain.
