Perhaps my favorite thing about it is the mods, no matter how long you play it SOMETHING is released to add new things to this infinitely expanding universe of awesome, for example, without mods Morrowind's looks just don't keep up with today's games, but you use a retexture or mod, and suddenly you have much better graphics that can blow you away compared to the before picture. Please post you favorite or least favorite things about or that happened in Morrowind.

For example, nothing you see in this picture is from the original Morrowind series, all of it, even the landmass, was added by multiple mods.

Those Golems... look like Golems from NWN2... Nonetheless, badass.

Personaly, I played only Oblivion, and although there were some downsides, I enjoyed it, downloaded a few mods and still had fun with it. It is one of those series of games that will never (or after a much longer time) run out of Fan steam.

You know, in the end, I'm not even sure how much of the original, unmodified world remained in my copy of Morrowind. I had pretty much reskinned everything, had several new islands, most of the NPCs looked different and said different things, there were dragons....

Anyway, I don't have it all installed anymore, but even if I did I have no idea which one thing I could pick to share here. There was too much. I had over a thousand mods by the end, I think, many of them homespun.

Since you're all Morrowind fanatics, anyone know of a magical place where I can download the full game on my PC?

I never got anywhere in it. Couldn't stand the combat system, to be honest.
It's one of those games where you need to forcibly overlook things like combat to enjoy it, which can be a little difficult. While slow and cumbersome and lacking a proper combat system, the depth and amount of playtime it offers is simply incredible.

Thank god for mods to make the game more interesting though - well done to the whole modding community out there.
