I don't understand the point of using the 'Mortal Kombat' franchise if you're just going to completely change everything about it. Although Reptile as a murderous adult harlequin fetus is kinda sweet...

I'm not sure what to think about scorpion being the protagonist but I almost died when the "Get over here!" played.

In all it doesn't look completely terrible which is an upgrade from the old ones.

This has been posted a lot lately but anyway, I think it looks pretty cool.

It's a creative look on an old franchise we all know and love. I feel more game-to-movie adaptations would be more successful if they approached it like this in some way shape or form, because trying to make a movie feel exactly like the game has proven to be horrible a great portion of the time.

Who knows, I have a feeling that even though it's a different approach, in the movie they may try something to bring back that "magical" feeling Mortal Kombat had. The only mention of Shang Tsung was that he was hosting a tournament that involved some CRAAAAAZY people. They never said why. Perhaps he'd attempt something that Sarevok Attempted in Baldur's Gate, except more appealing towards MK.

dude..........Scorpion is the most kick ass character of all time!

aside from Sub-Zero, Jax, Raiden, Smoke, Reptile, and a handful of other character I dont know how to spell their names correctly.

He's a kick ass character but I never really pictured him being the 'good guy'. More of the angry guy in the corner.

I really like how they changed MK for this trailer. Don't get me wrong, I like the magic aspect of it all in the games but turning it into a gritty film without all that just seems more interesting to me.

The whole code name thing reeks of GiJoe or something.

Almost like all these guys are set up for a Batman movie...

Amazing how Johnny Cage is always bitched out to die in these things yet he always shows up again....

Not a bad little trailer...but making the super natural more human seems to be a step down...
