Have you ever seen a film that was not only bad, but it felt deceiving beforehand? I would have to say "Lord of War" for me. My brother recommended it and I heard it was an action film, but it was more like a "Political Drama"

Yeah, I got caught out on that one.

Calling any of the Epic/Date/Superhero Movies comedies is a total lie though.

OT: Oceans 12...
Oh yes, Oceans 12. A movie about Casino heists suddenly goes to Europe, and some weird break dancing french thief is in it.

I much preferred Ocean's 11 and 13. Both lots of fun.

Inception, "yeah it's really good but is a total mindfuck"
Seemed pretty boring and straightforward to me really

pretty much this entire "reboot bukkake" thing going on atm...cant go a day it seems without somthing being rehashed, remade or rebooted. At this point id watch paint dry or shit gather flies as at least there has never been a movie soley about that before

I agree. I got bored but I actually got into it after my boredom faded.

I would say Tron Legacy. To me it was like hype up to be the next Avatar but the film itself was at least average at best. Ok sure the effect and the Daft Punk effect were great but the plot wasn't.
Edite- Owait I just remember X-men Wolverine Origin and also Men in Black 2.

Dragonball Evolution. Do I even need to start with this thing? I went into it expecting a Dragonball movie. This was not a Dragonball movie.

Avatar, I win.
I only watched the 2d version (meaning I saw the real movie)
What do you mean by that? It was made with 3d in mind.

I would have to say Fight club. I don't mean it was bad (it was awesome) but judging from a friend's description I thought it was literally going to be a movie about a dude that becomes an underground boxer or something.

Maybe boring was the wrong word, it was deficient in the 'entertainment' category, after they explained it all i lost interest and it became far too predictable (i don't count the wife thing because it was so bad).

Transformers 2... 1st half was great, 2nd half was horrible (except for maybe a bit or two) and ruined the movie.

Wolverine Origins because they completely mucked up Gambit's character. Anyone else remember the 90's version (back when Wolverine wore a yellow costume.) when Gambit was cool? That and the ending seemed a bit rushed.
Avatar too... it was all hyped up, but was average in my opinion. Amazing graphics, don't get me wrong, was quite good in 3D but... we didn't click very well. Shame as it looked good in the trailers.

Social Network. Unredeemable and predictable protagonist, shallow characters, nothing impressive film-wise, predictable story, overbearing music, and a lame duck of an ending.

Everyone I know, told them to stay far away from it. My non-movie friend hated it even more, and laughed at how melodramatic they made simple stuff. Like, HEY LET'S RUN TO SOMEWHERE TO WRITE DOWN MY THOUGHTS ON A NEW PROGRAM EVEN THOUGH I COULD JUST USE A NOTEBOOK OR SOME PAPER ANYWHERE! RUN ACROSS SNOW!

I could go on for pages.

Transformers 2.

I was expecting a good movie damn it! I looked at Youtube comments to be safe and after people saying things like "The movie is terrible" my optimism swept it away and I became mixed but unfortunately, he was right!

Avatar, no question.

I kinda got that with Inception since I had only recently seen Memento. After Memento, Inception is REALLY easy to understand. Both were amazing films, but Inception really isn't a "mindfuck" to me.

Fight Club has like the opposite effect; everyone says "you gotta see it, you gotta see it." And all I can do is groan about watching dudes beat up each other, then I watch it and am like, "Oh, I get it!" *talking to friends the next day* "You gotta see Fight Club!"
