Black Dahlia Murder, a band I started listening to a short while ago, are a death metal band.
(my bad)
One of my mates at school was polling me on the bands I like (He's a metal-head). I said: The Beatles, Metallica, Motorhead, Rammstein and a couple of my other favourites.

Then I slipped up. Black Dahli Llama I told him... to which he immediatly burst out laughing.

So what's the most embarassing mistake you've made while trying to look cool or impress someone?

I don't know, I sometimes get actor's names wrong, but it's not usually a 'trying to be cool' thing.

Bought a leather jacket and thought it was really cool for about 5 years. I'm currently 6 months through that act.

The most I have experienced is probably trying to look all relaxed and lean towards an object, but sometimes that object disappears and I end up stumbling and sometimes falling.

Only Fools and Horses has a classic example of this.

OT: Usually when I end up being too impressive, by my own opinion, it just reflects as pedantry to most people, and it probably puts them off me.

Generally trying to impress someone while talking to them, followed by walking into something. Never good.

Tried to run up a wall for some bloody reason, heard a 'pop', and couldn't walk for a day or run for about 2 weeks. Nothing was broken, I just wrenched my heel or something.

Trying to look cool while passing a group of attractive girls only to trip over an uneven brick in the road.

Fuck you, brick.

oh I've got plenty here's one for you. I was seeing this girl at the time, I skateboarded to her house and she was waiting for me outside. Trying to impress her, I ollied up the curb onto the sidewalk, when i tried to tail slide to stop ( or w/e u call it) i ended up stacking and fell forward, on my face, at her feet..smh

In junior high school during one of those dress-up-for-school-spirit days I decided to dye my hair red. Apparently when it finally dried it turned pink.

Worst day EVER.

Trying to do something acrobatic, like a cartwheel, and then slipping and failing horribly. Or anything like that, that could be impressive, but what's annoying is that you know you could do it normally but it was just because of bad luck that you failed.

Then when you try and do it again, no one looks.

That is only embarrassing if you let it be.

Really half the crap on here is only embarrassing if you let it be.

I can't honestly think of anything supremely embarrassing. Sure I have done a lot of stupid stuff. Everyone does at one point or another, but I never let any of it really get to me.
