in your opinion what is the most epic game, eather just the one or their running series, to you?

For me its Kingdom Hearts, you gotta get past the whole "disney" Gimmic though.

As a true story of heroics going from zero to epic I would say Mass Effect where you end up saving everything.

Either World of Warcraft or Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

In Warcraft... I remember the first time i stepped into the Barrens.. Yes it's become an absolute buttend of all WoW jokes, but it is still one of the most awe-inspiringly beautiful vistas in the game. Ashenvale had the same effect on me. The music combined with the visuals were just incredible.

Ocarina of Time just... Yeah..Gorgeous game.

"Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger" is pretty epic, too, just considering how dark and dreary everything was. It just seemed like things were constantly going wrong, and so when you finally have a chance to end the War....It was epic.

Mass Effect.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. I mean, when you start out, you have no idea that, later on, you'll
watch a nuke go off, sneak through Pripyat, infiltrate a Russian missile base and end with one of the most movie-worthy scenes I've ever seen in a game.

Paradox Interactive's grand strategy games.

I have a feeling I will get flamed with answers like "They're all the same", etc.

"Epic" as in "having an epic scale" or as in "good"?

Either way, the "Baldur's Gate" series is up there on the top for me. You start out as a double-orphaned rookie being pushed around by people who are supposed to be your friends, and end up as a deity. Not bad, I say.

"Sacrifice" had quality and scale as well. Epic battles fought by magical creatures in a world of divine politics? Count me in.

Lost Odyssey.
I'd say that's more tedious then epic.

Yeah the 152nd time you get the boomerang is a truly special experience.

The first days of World of Warcraft, it was so epic, that was back in 06/07.
For all of its faults I cant help but agree with you, I still remember the first time I got on the deeprun tram and went to places like blackrock mountain. Seems strange now but at the time it was truly amazing.

MassEffect is another good one, the combination of visuals and perfectly chosen music made it immense.

Mass Effect definitely gave me the impression that there's a massive galaxy out there for me to explore. The feeling faded after my first play-through, but I still love it.

Yeah, I truly hope that MassEffect 2 brings back that sensation but I doubt it'll be able to top the feeling the game gave me at the very end when the credits started rolling with Faunts playing, absolutely amazing.

Mass Effect. I liked everything about it, including the Mako.
Please tell me you're lying about the Mako, that thing was horrible. :p
