Most horrifying moment in an anime.

What is the most shocking, disturbing, twisted and horrifying thing you've seen in an anime. Not one thats bad either like say a really pointlessly bloody scene I mean a really effective good scene. For me it's in the most recent episode of High school of the dead, episode 6: in the dead of night.

Now at first it seemed like a complete and blatant fan service episode (if you've seen it you'll know why) but halfway through the episode it shows people hold up on a bridge with a bunch of cops struggling to keep everyone safe and keep control of the situation. Zombies start to advance towards them and so the police open fire. As they do a woman in the croud of zombies is still alive and pleads for them to stop shooting because she is holding her dead little girl but she is convinced she is still alive. Suddenly the girl turns and bites her mother's neck. And as the mother slumps to the ground and turns a cop shoots her and after the cop shoots her the girl then proceeds to eat her mums corpse. Yeah, thats fucked up.

So what moments in anime have haunted your psyche and made you say WHAT THE FUCK JAPAN?!

Kohta's sister getting snipped in half on the subway train by a vengeful younger Lucy and then his father. It immediately said without words "He knew Lucy when he was younger but immediately blocked out the horrifying scene and met Lucy again without being able to recall the past events...well not immediately"

I won't spoil what happens in it, but anyone who's seen that anime knows what happens without watching the video. Oddly enough, I've never seen that anime, though this scene alone was enough to make me want to watch it, and I will as soon as I finish Death Note. Given that and the fact that Elfen Lied and Hellsing were my first two animes respectively since childhood, what does that say about my state of mind?

Oh yes. Just search Youtube and you'll find it (probably can't link it from here as it is unsurprisingly NSFW). It only covers about the first 2/3's of the original Anime, and it's humour is often very raunchy (especially episode 7, which is one of the most potentially offensive things I've ever seen).

It actually works out pretty well overall, although it's hard to imagine with that particular series and its dark, dark subject matter.

Starts out as a nice and happy, if a little sappy romance anime. AND THEN IT ALL GOES DOWNHILL. Double murders, a beheading, implied necrophilia and an implied abortion.

I love horrifying moments, but I think the one that had stricken me the most would be the ending of School Days and Nana's Dismemberment in Elfen Lied.

I remember one scene in an anime (i cant remember what it was called) but one of the characters were baby-sitting for a work friend (i think) and as she changes the babied nappy she sees the babies penis and says something along the lines of "it looks like a baby elephant" then some scenes of the baby's penis flopping whilst elephant noises were going on, i doubt if i can find a video on youtube since of the nudity and stuff.
