ok i know this has probably been done before but this is my first topic post so... be nice.

anyway i have to say the most irritating thing i have found in games is when they put in first person/fixed camera jumping puzzles. ridiculously annoying and usually needless. thats my opinion and for me it is the most annoying thing i can think of but i just wanted to know what everyone else thought.

peace 'n jam

I get irritated by the lack of pathfinding for tanks in RTS games.

Welcome to the escapist by the way, as for being done before, it probably has been. Theres a search button in the forums, so use that in future to make sure it isnt a repeat.

Enjoy your stay here =]

the base-level GOTTA KILL EM ALL attitude of most of them. what's that? diplomacy? RORAOSIUNFIBH:DAB G AD>K?AFNASFLDVL etc

also making serious paragraph-long posts about games. that needs to stop for the good of the world.

The thing that I hate more than anything is time limits. I want to be able to take my time through the game.

Enemies that won't let you get up. Especially in 3rd person action games and fighting games.

When they add items/effects/weapons that makes me loose control of my character.

I'd second the random jumping moments (Latter parts of Half Life come to mind, as well as several parts that marred Ultima VIII).

Also, I was playing Age of Empires 3 the other day, and noticed that if you group various units, they travel at the pace of the slowest unit. Seemed like an obvious thing really, but it's amazing how many (older) RTS games I've played where this isn't the case.
