All of us procrastinate - put things off - from time to time. Some worse than others, and some in stranger ways than others.

Today, instead of doing my two-hours of research I set myself as a goal, I discovered I can move my elbow to the centre of my rib-cage without straining myself, that I can pick up socks with my feet without breaking a walking pace, and that I can handstand for a maximum of fifteen seconds.

So, Escapists, what are the most ludicrous ways you've found to put off life?

Perfect solving rubix cubes, and go on the escapist. Also, minecraft.
Oh Christ, not Minecraft. That bad-boy ate up hours of my life, and then indirectly sucked more of my time away via the guys at Yogscast.

Rubix-cube solving almost seems productive, though. The Escapist is my downfall too, though...

Mostly playing games, I suppose. Though I had my share of playing the "Who can stare longer" game with my wall. So there's that.

Also, back in the elementary school days, I'd read a book instead of studying. Perfect disguise.

What do you think I'm doing right now?!

Seriously, though, writing random bits and pieces, gaming, listening to News Quiz, watching anime, any number of vastly unproductive things.

My procrastination is divided into three levels, like so:

Level 1: Drawing
Level 2: Drawing porn
Level 3: Drawing porn in MS Paint

Of course, I do other things to procrastinate, as well, but drawing is by far the most common, and drawing porn in MS Paint is by far the most retarded.

Oh well.

*goes back to drawing*

I'm not procrastinating at the moment, though. It's just that I've got nothing else to do.

Stumbling. Eugh.
StumbleUpon has killed my productivity many a time. That said, I often learn something from it so it's almost excusable.
Until you select 'Flash Games' as an interest, and suddenly three hours have passed, you're still in your underwear, your breakfast is soggy or cold, and that important thing you wanted to do is gathering dust.
Curse you, Stumble...

Masturbating. Multiple times.
(My, the Escapist seems to suddenly be a lot more honest about masturbation recently.)

Is it bad that I don't even consider that 'ludicrous'? That's just something that everyone does when they get bored, I think.

Okay, now that's something that's a bit weirder. Drawing is fine, I'd consider that productive. Drawing porn is quite bizarre, on Paint or not. I never thought of porn as anything but a 'speed this up' button.

Whenever I am procrastinating something so much I begin to do other things I've been procrastinating. Suddenly having an urge to do dishes or fix something to prevent having to write a paper is odd.

Until I reach that low I typically find some sort of entertainment to entertain me.

I somehow manage to put off watching anything on the Internet, i'll open about 5 tabs of Youtube vids, anime, manga etc and go "right then i'll leave these open during the week and i'll watch them... At some point." This happens daily

It's like i'm super procrastinating or something

I blame Lucky Star for this habit...

I once procrastinated by making a list of things I need to do to procrastinate.
May I ask what this list included? The very concept hurts my brain, like some procrastination-Inception.

Ah, productive procrastination. I absolutely love it. The amount of things I get done around the house when I need to do something academic is mind-boggling. I actually have the neatest house when I'm stressed and putting off work.

I think I'm too simple for that. When I procrastinate I just go "I'll do this now until it runs out. Then I'll do something else." Hence it jumps from topic to topic and can last from anywhere between a few minutes to days.

The list I procrastinate is a sort of list within a list within yet another list. And the only way to read this list of procrastination is to procrastinate. You procrastinate looking for list, more and more. But because you're procrastinating, you don't find it.

Spoilers:
The list says 'how to procrastinate - Look for this list'
