I have a few of 'em..the first "god of war" has a few "wall to wall" jumps, but the one from the pillar to the broken walkway took me hours. the first "ninja gaiden"(nes) right before you fight "the great moth" there's a back flip to a walkway that's impossible...do you have any? these hurdles can be more trying then most bosses, and have helped with my baldness!

Mirror's Edge, where you're climbing to the top of the tower to get the sniper rifle. There's a point where you have to get to a a very tight opening that's on a support pillar with a 10-foot gap on all sides, and the only way to do it is to run along the inside of the building's outer wall, turn and jump at precisely the right point, hoping that even if you land on the fecker your momentum won't carry you off again.

That took me a few deaths to get right.

In the original Ninja Turtles game, there were parts when it appeared that you had to jump, but it was impossible to jump over. It turns out you could walk over the spaces. I spent hours trying to figure it out.

To get some of the cages in the first Rayman, You had to do some unbelievably hard jumps.
One that comes to mind was in the Music world, when you had to run half across the level just to get enough momentum to jump to a semi invisible ledge. Frustrating.

1) There are some pretty aggravating jumps in the first Soul Reaver game...I'm thinking specifically of the Drowned Abbey, where you have to make several extremely fiddly jumps between several extremely thin rafters. Missing a jump means falling into the water below, and since Raziel hasn't gained the ability to swim yet, he gets dumped back into the Spectral Realm and has to start the whole sequence over from the beginning. >_<

2) There's an area in King's Quest VIII: Mask of Eternity where you have to jump across a series of rocky platforms in a pool of lava. The platforms are pretty big, so they aren't that hard to land on, but the way Connor's jumps are programmed, his standing jump usually doesn't take him far enough and his running jump takes him too far. So the best way I found to make the jumps? Backflip. My dad saw me doing this, and said something along the lines of "Yeah, I've always thought backflipping would be the smartest way to get across a pool of lava."

3) Shadow of the Colossus, the jump from the last Colossus's right hand to his left shoulder. I have no idea how I did it in the first place--I just took a mad flying leap of faith when he brought his hand in closer to his chest and BARELY made it. And it was only after I'd beaten the game that I found out you aren't even supposed to make that jump--you're supposed to shoot an arrow at a weak spot in his shoulder so that he grabs his shoulder with his hand! Except...every time I try doing that, I just end up missing a dozen times, then running out of grip strength and falling off. ;_; So I still consider that jump a valid solution, even if it is insanely hard.

The one that popped into my mind was one from one of the World 8 levels in the original Super Mario Bros. (can't remember which one, but I think it was 8-2), that involved a long running jump to hit a one-tile-wide landing zone and immediately jump again to reach the other side of the pit.

As for "ridiculous" jumps in the sense of jumps that are insane in their own right rather than difficult per se, I submit "seven minute Morrowind" as Exhibit A.

Probably Assassin's creed, every time I climbed a scout tower thing and accidentally hit sideways as the camera jerked into position and watched Altier plummet to his death, just missing the hay wagon. Actually some of the jumps where he hits it were pretty sick too. The epitomy of awesome in that game, though, was being able to gallop your horse full speed at another horse, turn, and jump at just the right time to jump off your horse and land on the back of the other horse and get on it. Yeah, I have too much free time.

The backwards jump up the endless staircase glitch always confunded me in Super Mario 64. Pretty sick all the same.

Jumping off of the tallest buildings, or out of helicopters, in Prototype was fun, especially to see how big a blast radius I could make/how many people I could kill.

For utter frustrating madness try Tomb Raider: Anniversary. Hated that game so bad even though I liked the others of the series, for some reason theres no way to discern grabbable pieces of junk protruding from the wall from useless scenery. Especially when there were so many useless ledges for you to crawl down when the exit is in the opposite direction.

Probably in Mirror's Edge, i mean, it's supposed to be realistic to actual parkour, but some stuff they do.. wow..

Tony Hawk's Underground, the first one. You had to jump across an entire bridge off of the momentum of a sports car pulling you while spinning.

Every other Mirror's Edge jump, I've been stuck on the section right after the guy you're chasing vaults and takes a spill because the stuff he was on falls apart and you're supposed to find an alternate route to him. I can never catch the 3rd pipe in the series and the few poles before have shotty detection and I end up falling through them instead of grabbing onto them.

In Metroid Prime one room has a phazon floor and is filled with beam pirates. I always screw up the jumps in that room that you take to get to Magmoor caverns. They seem like simple jumps, but I always screw them up. Then i have to climb all the way back to the top. It's frustrating...

Well, technically its not a jump *you* perform, but its still one of my fondest jumps in a video game...

You can skip ahead to the 3:00 mark for the build up, or to 3:50 for the big leap.

Majora's Mask's Goron area, necessary to get the Fierce Deity mask features a ton of tough jumps, and has kept from acquiring that mask to this day.

The most ridiculous jump ...

Yeah, I'm going to take a wild guess but it is bound to be somewhere in the Tomb Raider series.

Shadow of the Colossus easily had some insane jumps, Ico did too. But I hold Mirrors Edge to have some of the most frustrating jumps EVER. Or maybe that was just the whole game....
