So this guy says Lord of War is great.

So many services out there. It is on Vudu at this time free with commercials so I'm giving it a shot.

What do you hear is great you will be checking out ASAP?

EDIT: Can't believe it took me 15 years to get around to seeing that one. Very good. Sad, frustrating and based upon real events that are ongoing.

Hail Caesar! I wanted to see this is theaters and didn't and now it's on Netflix.

I'm also gonna finally get around to watching Rise of Skywalker just to see how bad it is. Alcohol will be invovled to ease the pain.

Hail Caesar's worse.

Really? I generally like Coen Bros movies(aside from Burn After Reading, which I fell asleep during). I hadn't heard it was bad
Critics loved it, audiences disliked it, and in this case, I'm with the audiences. It's less a story and more "Hollywood Golden Age References: The Movie." If you're a film affecionado, you might enjoy it, but as its own thing, I found it severely lacking. If you've seen the trailer, you'd be under the impression that it's got one giant, cohesive plot, but it doesn't. It's lots of mini-plots that are barely connected.

I'm gonna give it a chance regardless but appreciate the warning. I've seen enough Coen Bros movies to know their films are....different and generally they resonate with me(not always, but normally) so I feel like I need to check it out regardless.I feel like I'm one of the few people on earth who gets "A Serious Man"(and yes, I realize it's fucking wierd).

There's not many other movies I'm interested in on streaming right now. Mostly I've been watching shows that will take me a while to get through

Eh? Lord of War was considered unseen? I seen it about probably 4 times over the years already. It even created my go-to meme for when ppl try correcting my awful speakages.
Hoping to catch parasite sometime soon. The film, not a parasite! I'm not pregnant just yet. ;)

Just rented Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge. Will hopefully have a chance to watch it tonight and report back with general/detailed impressions.

Also, Lord of War is good. One of Cage’s better movies imo.

At one movie a day, I usually don't know what I'm gonna watch next. Watched the original Mad Max for the first time a couple of days ago, so perhaps Mad Max 2 again. Maybe Lost in Translation, because I haven't seen it in ten years and it arrived on Blu-ray yesterday. Or maybe Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, one of my most recent Netflix Blu-ray rentals.

Lose 1d20 sanity points.
I'm probably watching Overlord next, though I do have a pretty big list of stuff to watch, but Overlord seems right up my alley.

Been checking some Nobuhiko Obayashi since his death, and that guy has a pretty fascinating body of work. Some of it is pretty bad, but it's usually bad in a splashy, visually interesting way. Gonna take a peek at some of the stuff he made in the 90s next.

My roommate and I are working out way through the Lone Wolf and Cub series. If you like grindhouse violence, these are worth a look. It gets pretty wild, especially the weaponized baby carriage. The scene where he gets tortured by the Yakuza in place of a brothel girl to free her from her contract in the third movie is intense.
