Seriously folks don't read this if you've yet to watch the film

http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/8682-Stars-Worn at roughly 4 minutes Bob calls out roughly 13-ish months and and four days away from release a very specific character death in Episode 7. Just felt like bringing it up rather than dredgine up the old topic thread for the video.

Not all together impressive, considering it was obvious from the start a legacy character was going to die. Movie Bob had a 1 in 4 chance of calling it successfully - It was either going to be Leia, Luke, Han, or a death cameo from Lando (Because black guys die first).

Considering Harrison is the highest paid actor in Star Wars, has been trying to get his character killed for decades, and was obviously only in the movie for the ludicrous amount of cash being thrown at him (As opposed to Hamill and Fisher, who seem to have grown more comfortable with their best known roles), Han was always the front runner for 'Who's going to die.'

Pretty much this. Bob wasn't making a prediction that was in any way special. He was taking the safe bet for predictions and as it turns out JJ and the other two writers where playing things just as safe as pretty much the whole fanbase thought they would.

Wasn't this even confirmed AGES before release?
Like, I knew this was going to happen for months at the very least? I think there was speculation that it was that character's condition for coming back to Star Wars that he would be killed off.
Like, had he predicted who the main villain was, sure, kinda cool. Predicting that though? Yeah, a little obvious and well known.
