A The Sandman movie adaption, so I could either hate it with a fiery passion, or be amazed at the best movie ever.

I really wish that HBO hired Genndy Tartakovsky to do the animated Dark Tower series for adults.

I think a movie version of s.t.a.l.k.e.r would be great considering it's already a loose adaptation of one of my favorite films.

Oh and Oliver Stone should do "The Forever War"

And If they ever did a proper movie version of Hyperion my head would explode.

Same for Transmetropolitan

Enders game. That's as good as Sci Fi has ever gotten, and probably as good as it's going to get. I would love to see a movie do it justice. For that matter, a game would be great as well.

A really really good Deadpool film, with all the insane, intense black humour and horrible violence.

And a good, prequel Bioshock movie. I want to see Rapture in all it's art deco splendor, and then see it all go to hell.

A film adaptation of the Preacher comics - or, preferably, a TV series of them, which was at one point going to be made. Of course, the only problem there would be that I'm something of a Preacher fanboy, so if they mesed it up at all I wouldn't exactly be happy...

I'd love Jhonen Vasquez to do Invader Dib, which was supposed to be a movie to finish the story of Invader Zim. After series 3 started to get more of a continuity (Dib rebuilding Tak's ship etc...) Dib was going to fly off into space to fight the Irken armada. But as with everything he promises to finish, Vasquez will likely never go back to it.

Is this Battletoads?

On Topic: I'd quite like a decent modern war film. Most war films these days are just emotional stuff (See: Jarhead) rather than any action. If I rent or buy a war film, I'd actually quite like to see some action-packed scenes than some man getting depressed and fapping in a toilet.[sub]Actual scene from Jarhead[/sub]

I would like a couple adaptations of Simon Kernick's novels, I think they could do well especially after seeing Henning Mankells 'Wallander' series on the BBC - which was better than the books imo.

Slightly off topic but I would also like to see a Gaunts Ghost series, a mean it would be a cross between Band of Brothers and Sharpe and could be fantastic.

I want to see a movie adaptation of Dan Simmons' The Terror, it's quite an epic book.

FUCK YES.

What sucks about any Warhammer/40K media outside of the tabletop and Black Library is that they assume they audience knows fuck all about the source material so just throws Ultramarines at them. I'd love to see something geared towards those already into the mythos of it.

A fully CG (Think DOWII intro movie) Warhammer 40k movie. CG because I just don't think it would be practical to do it in live action.

I'm not sure what I want to plot to be. I'm torn between two thoughts. One being a Space Marine war story. It would feature the Imperial Guard as support players with several alien races, and the forces of Chaos, getting their faces stomped in by my favourite chapter (the Black Templars). Maybe it could draw some inspiration from the better Dawn of War plot lines.

The other is an Inquisiton story in the vein of Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn/Ravenor books. A heretic has big plans to do bad things and an Inquisitor, along with his/her team of badasses, has to stop him/her.

The idea of a neo-noir (similar to the Sin City movie or the Max Payne video games. The video games remember, not the God Emperor awful movie) using the 40k setting also excites me but I'm not sure exactly how that would work.

Edit: Missed the above 40k nod while I was reading the thread before posting. Gaunts Ghosts would be pretty cool too. Hats off to you sir for bringing up 40k first.

I heard rumours about that a long time ago but I didn't think it would actually happen. Shame it has to be the comparativly dull Ultramarines starring but I'm willing to accept some choices I don't agree with if the movie turn out to be good.

I'll be keeping an eye out for that. Thanks for the heads up.

I would like to see Runaways be made into a movie. I know it has something that could be it up on imdb but I won't really believe it until I actually see a trailer. The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that their origin story is actually pretty long, so fitting it into a movie won't be nearly as easy as it was with most of the other Marvel movies.
