Most Popular music.
So anything popular, with my age group, which is 13-30... *sigh* when will people not just follow others?

Oh boy, I can see the long list of people saying rap is not good because they generalize on the "big guys".
To judge a music genre, you have to judge it on that genre's big names. The big names reflect the primary sound and target of that genre. The smaller-name artists, though they may be "better," are smaller because they do not reflect the main body of the genre, where most of the listeners are located.

That being said, I do not like rap.
So, you're saying we should judge rock on The Jonas Brothers? Well rock sucks then.

The Jonas Brothers are not, in fact, rock. According to iTunes, at least, they are pop. And I think that the vast, vast majority of rock music fans will agree with me that they are not rock.

Out of curiosity, what is the song called and by who?
Guh, the song is Shotgun Message, by Norma Jean. A live version, where the singers has a seizure on stage...
Wow, that was fuckin horrible.
And people ask me why I don't listen to metalcore...

Also, I can understand not liking extreme metal. but please don't let this turn into "Why my genre of music is the best, and only me opinion is valid".

Yeah, that was really bad.

I forgot to mention that anything that is classified by the people who listen to it as a sub genre of a genre that is a sub genre of another genre is absolutely terrible music.

Well I think I can find stuff I like in pretty much every genre of music (my hate of pigeon-holing everything aside). You know what I fucking hate though? People unwilling to give certain music a chance because it falls into a certain genre (cough rap cough). No matter what you may think about the process or "from what you've heard" or whatever bullshit you've come up with to justify pigeon-holing (there it is, back with a fury) an entire genre of music as "bad" there will always be something very good about at least some of the music in that genre. You know what genre hate spawns from? Generalizations followed up with a complete lack of doing any fucking research on genres whatsoever. Honestly I'm trying really hard right now not to flame the fuck out of anyone who says that rap involves no talent because if they had done any (and I mean any) fucking homework they'd realize that their entire point is disqualified by the fact that they have only looked at mainstream music therefore securing that have judged a huge section of music while only scratching the surface of what it really is.
Retards attempting poetry? Fuck that. Listen to some good hip-hop and feel the wrath of actually intelligent lyrics.

In most to least order...

Rock
Indie
Thrash
Rap
Punk

There are exceptions within those genres, but few and far between.

I generally don't really hate music, but crunk is just absolutely terrible. I'll give you an idea of how much I hate it: I consider Miley Cyrus/Jonas Brothers a welcome break from it. Yes, you read that right.

Also a lot of country, it just has some essence to it that evokes hate within me.

Modern Hip-hop. 80s-90s rap was brilliant, but today, rappers and hip-hop 'artists' are just shitheads, meatheads and dickheads. I'm also sick and tired of themselves calling it R&B. It is not Rhythm and Blues! You are insulting every true Blues musician ever to walk the earth.

Never got into Indie rock. Some of them alright, but you can hear their roots in mainstream rock-bands and so are they still really Indie music? The rest are just Soft Cocks... er... i mean Soft Rock bands trying to hide their shittiness behind an independant label.

Country sucks as well.

And all those disney and nickelodeon pop-stars and pop-bands like Miley-fucking-Cyrus and Jonas brothers. Whenever i sea them on a Music video programme i die a little inside. I'd like to tie em all together and light em on fire.
Totally agree! Modern hip-hop sucks ass because they all use auto tune and it takes no skill to make. But 80's-90's rap is an exception.

Opera.
I'm not much for pop music when it turned more into flop music... just not the thing I get into, ya know?
Oh, and this so-called "new country" crap. What the hell? Do these people stick socks in their mouths before they sing? It sounds worse than folk music... And none of it is very good, either; its either about how their dog got shot or why their wify's fucking another man. Have some variety, at least; even Johnny Cash sang his version of "Hot Rod Lincoln" at one point, and that's one of my favorite songs ever o.o

Can't stand screamo, country, and new rap. All the lyrics for new rap are about, quoting a great movie I like to call Kickin' It Old Skool, slapping women and putting tires on your car. Old rap was cool cause it had a nice beat and unique lyrics for the most part. Sreamo is, well, screaming, crashing on cymbals, and playing pretty much random notes on the guitar, which I think sounds like crap. Hate country because I just do, and nothing will change that about me.
