I got a few gigs worth of samples I've collected from various sources over the past 15-20 years. Sometimes record stuff from various forms of media, but usually fuck around in soundforge with stuff from synths or the aforementioned samples.
A mate of mine did recently show me looperman, but I've not really had a look at it.

I generally don't use samples when making music. I prefer using synths and instrumentation to create my sounds.
Though I have used a few samples from time to time, I don't have any particular 'source' from which I draw. I tend more to just find them 'in the wild'.
