I've used the search bar nothing about this came up, I'm not sure if this should be in off topic or gaming discussion.


Which songs most reminds you of gaming? it could be background music or even music you listened to while playing a game. For example, the song that most reminds me of a time during gaming is Can't Repeat by The Offspring as it brings me back to when I used to play Crazy Taxi on the PS2. When listening to it now I half expect to hear Gus shouting at a pedestrian.

Edit: For those who haven't played Crazy Taxi on the PS2, Can't Repeat was one of the few songs that played in the background of the game and it's the one I generally remember best

I always remember Meaning of Birth from Tales of the Abyss because its awesome. Of course, I always remember the song from the first level in Mario. Finally, I'm on a Boat reminds me of Resident Evil 5.

Every time I hear Mommas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys I'm reminded of playing GTA:San Andreas (I usually remember making a huge train of hitched tractors and driving through the country) and think of sandbox games in general.

Anything from Favorite Worst Nightmare by Arctic Monkeys reminds me of TES: Oblivion, as my brothers played it all the time while I was on it
Anything by Foals reminds me of Fable for the same reason

Metallica - King Nothing makes me think my old rogue on World of Warcraft.

There is a Strokes song that makes me think of the origional Mario Bros now, mostly because of one part that sounds like running through a long line of coins. Now I have a whole Mario Bros music vid in my head to that song and it even fits well. If I ever learn to make/edit stuff like that, I may be super awesome and turn it into a video until WCA or whoever bands it.

Unfortunately I don't have a song outside of gaming that reminds me of gaming, but in terms of a theme, I think I'll choose the theme from Devil May cry 3, an insanity dripping masterpiece and one of the best games of it's type
