Whats a song, artist or album youve never heard but always wanted to. For me it would be the residents Ive heard about them several times from different people but never got around to buying any of their albums

There is a band called 03. The only song I have heard by them is also called 03. Trying to search for them online is proving tricky to say the least let alone anywhere to buy their stuff.

Following your example, I'd love to see The Black Dahlia Murder live. Sadly, it seems most bands I like just skip my country.

I have always wanted to hear a good collaboration by In Flames and Nightwish. Their one and only collab was sub-par.

Normally I make sure I hear the music I want to hear one way or another.

If talking about live, I'd love to see The Living End live.

I would like to see them too.

OT: As for live bands, it would have to be TOOL, My Dad has seen em' live a couple times a few years back when I wasnt as 'enthusiastic' as I am now about music, just waitin' on you Maynard.

This is a difficult question, what with you tube and spotify, but I have to shamefully admit that apart from paint it black, I don't know any rolling stones.

I've always wanted to listen to Grateful Dead extensively. I've only heard a few hits and that's about it.

I've always wanted to see the Hold Steady live, which I'm going to in two weeks. I badly want to see Coheed and Cambria live as I own all their albums. I was going to this August but I got really sick. I finally saw Umphrey's McGee last month and it was simply mindblowing.

I want to hear gay gangster rap. No, no stuff like "what what in the butt", or parodies, I mean stuff that sounds like the real rough, grimy gangster shit... but openly gay. So they'd be rough looking guys that would look just like 50 Cent, they'd have rough beats too like DJ Premier or something, all the gun-talk that is obligatory to the style, and all the "bitches" and "suck my dick" stuff too except they'd only be talking about other guys being bitches and sucking their dicks. In the relentlessly alpha-male world of gangster rap music I think something like that is just what is needed. I asked a manager of some popular rap bands a while back if he knew of anything like that, and he mentioned one particular band's name and said that was the only example he knew. I wish I could remember what they were called now.

(In before all the boring, predictable "all rap is gay" comments. Yeah I know a lot of them are secretly gay or perhaps gay as in just plain crappy but that's not what I want, I'm talking about openly gay as in they rap about being gay and rollin' through the hood shootin' up the other gang and then going to the club to pick up some guys.)

Apparently Rob Halford was in an industrial metal band called Two. They don't seem to be on Amazon or iTunes, and searching "Two Band" on youtube get's Sly 2, Dave Matthews Band, and Band of Brothers.

His other side projects (Fight and Halford) were awesome, so I really want to hear it...

Also, Anthrax recorded an album with someone named Dan Nelson, kicked him out, and never released it. Apparently Belladonna is re-recording those songs, but I'm not sure about that. I'd just kind of like to hear what the album sounded like...

Well I can't remember any now. To be honest if there was a band I wanted to hear because they were recommended I'd look them up on youtube or something. That said, I've been meaning to get some Kyuss for the longest time, because I really like what I've heard.

As for live: Devin townsend. Not only that, but he's going on tour with Periphery right now, but not within thousands of miles of where I live.

I wanted Imogen Heap to make more songs like Must be Dreaming and the Walk, although yeah I do understand that making music is just bloody hard.
