Someone told me about the ree tools that are available for my pc, and I was so happy with Avast! antivirus and CCleaner, that I decided to make a thread about it.

If you have any other usefull freeware other than:
-Avast! Antivirus
-CCleaner
-Defrag (the edition that comes with windows)
-Linux (tricky for new people)
-Super (converts just about every kind of file you can think of in something more usefull)
-Open Office : Windows office, but 100% free! It's not by windows so it'll take some getting used to, but everything is in there)
Please post away :)

I love open source/free programs!

Linux, Open Office, 'Super' (Great multimedia converting tool), Media Monkey, VLC Player, VNC, Tversity, Dropbox...Just awesome.

It's nice if everyone could give a little description of what every program does and what it is :) Thanks for posting!

Any more programs to keep your PC nice and fast? WHat about all those registry cleaners?
