MW2 DLC is broken

I was actually thinking of putting my MW2 away time on hold and getting this as I loved Crash and Overgrown... but anyway that's beside the point... apparently Stimulus has been released and is broken:

I have it and can confirm that the DLC and game are broken but the patch, due today, hasn't been released yet and that should get it fixed

Maybe this is all just a really fucking huge PSA about how not to get caught up in the hype, and Activision are actually helping the world become a better place?

That is why I love it when consoles fight over who gets the hastily made DLC first.

Since I'm no longer a 360 owner I don't have the DLC, but yes I did have to comment on the irony of the situation.

Apparantly causes a bug where the maps can't be rendered, at least that's what my Xbox tells me, and that they are aware of it.

Maybe thats why IW was raided a while back, they were going to release the DLC to be functional but Activisions answer was "noooo, bug it hell, get the cash and run for the hills, Muhahahahaha"

The reason it's broke is because in their infinite wisdom IW/activision have released the DLC before patching the game to be able to use it.
They obviously didn't like the tried and true way of releasing a patch prior to the DLC release, or including the patch in the DLC.
Developers seem to be getting really stupid, EA/BW "epic fail" backlash yesterday and now IW/activision face palm here. And both are/were so avoidable.

I think you mean 'no-one-can-play-the-game-except-the-people-the-DRM-is-supposed-to-stop-in-the-first-place'. That's real fucking effective.

Anyway, if I read that article correctly, it's MS's fault for not releasing the patch they were given, but who fucking knows?

I didn't download, nor will I, the new DLC. As it costs money. And I've already parted with my money to buy MW2, and XBL.

But, I can't play on MW2, as the patch won't download. Congrats IW/Acti.
I've been trying to tell my gaming pals that BF:BC2 was better, and you've finally given me the ammunition to do so.

So, I've been playing on Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 with some of my pals instead. Atleast that has an L85 in it haha.

With all that said - I would like it if they could fix it. MW2 is the only game that all of my friends have.
