In the last few Call of Duty games the map packs have been lacking in good maps and for the price of or 1200msp or $15 is a bit of a rip off!
Usually there is maybe 2 ok to good maps out of the 4 maps purchased. That isn't good enough!

But what can IW do differently?

I have a few suggestions........

1) Sell the maps individually. Sell each map for something like 300msp or $4 but still sell the maps in a bundle, maybe for 1000 msp or $12.
(I'm not sure how this would work with matchmaking.)

or

2) Have a map pack demo 2 weeks before the map pack is released.
They release a game mode with 6 new maps and people can demo the maps with a few game types such as tdm and domination.
Then people can vote for their favourite maps on the Call of Duty website or from within the game itself and then they release the top 4 voted maps.
And the demo acts as a mini beta and gives them a chance to fix bugs. (For instance, the rock glitch on Fuel.)

Thats just a few points I feel would make the map packs better and make the person spending their money happier!

What do you think?
Have you got any ideas yourself?

Also, what's your view on releasing maps from previous Modern Warfare games and what is your favourite map of the two previous Modern Warfare games?

Or they could start a plus service that is essentially a monthly fee which makes all DLC they make "free". Once they do that they can pump out as much DLC as they want and quality won't matter since people will be considering it free.

I buy my MS points from my local Tesco where I work, they currently have a £2 off deal on 2100 points and then take my staff discount of 10% and I get some cheapy cheap MS points cards. What I'm saying is that the maps don't cost as much to me so I'm not really minding.

Or they could do what Valve does with TF2 and continuously develop content and give it to the community for free out of appreciation.

Just like "The Witcher 2" with the developer CDProjekt still making patches and developing FREE DLC packs!
Buy the Witcher 2.

How can Activision more efficiently/effectively pry cash away from customers?

I think they should lock all the doors and set the office on fire. It's just crazy enough to work.
