I am NOT asking which is better. Let me explain.
For Christmas, I am considering buying my dad one of those two games. He is a 52-year old man who enjoys the games, but tends to play more multiplayer, where he doesn't have to make to many choices, or follow many rules. Being an older gentleman, he isn't very coordinated, and although he may argue with you about it, he is not very good. With this being said, he is very easy to anger, especially when things aren't going his way.
For the last eleven years, he has played the same game. Medal of Honor, Allied Assault, which I believe came out somewhere around 1999-2003. Last Christmas he recieved the new Medal of Honor, we he did enjoy to a decent extent, but it didn't grasp him as easily as Allied Assault.
To sum things up...
We can assume from this, that my dad cares not for flashy powerups, unlockable weapons, customization or anything that takes a lot of stategy or creativity. He is simply looking for a good experience, and good graphics are always a plus.
Being easily agitated, we must lean away from heavily competitive online multiplayer.
If neither Modern Warfare 3 OR Battlefield 3 can fit these descriptions, I'll happily take outside suggestions.
EDIT: He plays computer, and computer ONLY.
