MW3 people vs MMO people (WoW people)

WTH people.

5 times now, I have seen GROWN MEN digging frantically THROUGH GARBAGE.

"Why?" you might ask? Why, because there might be a mountain dew bottle with a cap still on it in there, of course!

Why are these caps so valuable that GROWN MEN will dig through GARBAGE over them?

Because apparently, if you redeem the code in the cap, it grants you free XP in MW3.

.....

And People say that WoW players are freaks.

Now, I'll take my own medicine here, I'm sure that not ALL of the people who play MW3 are subjecting themselves to this insanity.

Maybe we should take this as an object lesson for "A few obvious and easy to see individuals do not make up the entire community."

I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter, Fellow Escapists.

I have not seen that yet. I don't think I will ever see it either. And I haven't heard anyone say WoW players are freaks either.

Oh look another thread about attacking the player base of a popular franchise due to the actions of a few nut cases whose problem isn't the games they play but the fact they probably have some form of mental illness or are just really dumb.Seriously can we stop the threads asking about why certain video games inspire devotion from certain people there has been literally dozens of them in the past few days.

I'm not an FPS person or an MMO person, so as an observer, I see absolutely no difference between the two.

In my eyes both are just people who spend too much time with it and yell too much at their screen.

1: Didn't stop the MW/Halo/Battlefield people from doing it to the MMO crowd first. (Warning: Incoming Sarcasm) Because obviously we (Speaking as a Casual WoW Player) are all people who spend their entire lives in front of a computer, with no life, playing WoW 24/7 and neglecting things like feeding our children and taking baths. (/sarcasm)

I'm not saying a single thing about games "inspiring devotion" in their gamers, I'm talking about people going out of their way for a few loose pieces of GARBAGE that will get them points in a video game that they could get through NORMAL PLAY.
