According to http://mw3f.com/2011/02/modern-warfare-3-will-be-a-prequel-featuring-ghost/ , MW3 will be a prequel featuring ghost. What do you guys think? Also this kinda makes me wonder if there will be a Black Ops 2. I know it reads funny but anything is possible with Activision.

Doesnt make a lot of sense to do this. They hanve finished the classic hero arc (which consists of three parts), and we need the third for soap. So they're gonna have to make a MW4. But I guess they wnat to try and mix it up so people keep interest in the series and then buy MW4 when they finish the arc.
I dunno, I am skeptical about that rumor. I can totally see them making a Modern Warfare game that is a prequel, but it won't be MW3. Maybe an expansion, or a side-game.
As for Black Ops 2, its possible but unlikely. The story really wrapped itself up fairly well. I could see them doing something similar to the Black Ops/World at War connection, though. An unrelated game that features some of the old characters.

I don't think it's really going to matter much. I mean the stories in the call of duty games don't make much sense anyway, so why even bother doing a continuity?
I think all of the call of duty games would be better if they didn't have any stories. You could just play as different branches of the military carrying out different and completely unrelated missions, and it would all amount to the exact same thing.

Ok, not trying to sound like an jerk here, but show of hands how many of you actualy cared for the pepople dying in Modern Warfare. I really am geniously curious as to the percent, I know I certiantly didn't.

No, MW2 was left on a cliffhanger. Soap n' Price have committed treason and are running away from the USA, along with Nikolai. And MW3 will focus on Makarov. MW3 being a prequel will be good I suppose, But I prefer it being straight after MW2.
I rather enjoyed how you 'bite it' in MW 1 (nuked, awesome way to go). And I also enjoyed the twist where the colonel shot you and ghost... then lit you up like a christmas tree while you were still alive. It was great! I like the way they skull fucked the whole tragedy of being held in the arms of your comrades and spitting out your few pointless last words.silver wolf009 said:

MW3 will pick back up where MW2 left off. Simple. Also Shepard WILL be back. Seriously you threw a knife into the fuckers eye that's completely survivable. Also seeing how you were being chased by the whole U.S. Army they probably just showed up after you took off in the helicopter and tended to Shepard.
