My LCD television is the worst platform ever for gaming in general, but one genre in particular... Music Games! The AV latency is so bad, it renders Guitar Hero almost perfectly unplayable! Help me, escapists!

I believe there is an option in Guitar Hero to fix that. Calibrate it with your TV in the options.

Calumon: Maybe if you had a real one, you could forget the TV! :D

Well... I'm afraid I can't help you any more than that. A new TV must be acquired. Get a 3D one while your at it. Your friends will be impressed, though your wallet will become slim for a long time.

Calumon: What about the thin things that do it for you?

Aha!
Lo, the wise and allmighty internets have delivered unto me my salvation! Apparently there is a setting on my particular brand and model of TV (Sanyo 52") that attempts to keep the framerate for anything onscreen at 120 hertz! By turning off this function, called motion sync or some such, and running the lag calibrator on my GH5 again, the game behaves as it should! If anyone has had this problem before and gone back to their old boob tube because of it, you should dig that $900 TV out of the dumpster and check its settings, there may be something similar there for you to work with!

Those paper things? Nah, I already has Guitar Hero, plus I don't wanna blow 15 bucks on cardboard!

Yes it does at first, then you get callouses on the tips of your fingers and it doesn't hurt at all anymore. You just have to man up an push on :eek:p

Oh and once you get the callouses then you never really lose them so if you stop playing and then start again it doesn't hurt.
