My LCD television is the worst platform ever for gaming in general, but one genre in particular... Music Games! The AV latency is so bad, it renders Guitar Hero almost perfectly unplayable! Help me, escapists!

Well... I'm afraid I can't help you any more than that. A new TV must be acquired. Get a 3D one while your at it. Yes it does at first, then you get callouses on the tips of your fingers and it doesn't hurt at all anymore.
