Many people out there are like me. I don't like origin and I wish battlefield 3 was going to be using steam; however, I like Battlefield enough that I would still buy it. So in slight protest (not to say it will accomplish anything) I have added Origin as a non-steam shortcut into my steam account. I'm not saying it will cause EA to go back to Steam or that Valve will even notice, but it makes me giggle when I think about it.

I had decided to avoid all EA games unless Origin is dissolved or the games return to steam, I don't know if I'll be able to keep that promise when Mass Effect 3 comes out.

I picked up Origin this past weekend for the BF 3 beta. Being a full on Steam fan, I was certainly skeptical at first, but my curiosity overcame my stubbornness, and so far, it isn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be. No, I won't run it constantly like I do Steam, but I don't mind it that much as far as simply starting it up just to play the games it contains. I like the idea of running it via Steam, if nothing more than for a laugh or two.

Ignoring Origin, since getting banned for something disables your entire origin account, along with the games.

How fun is that?
(Read it here on the escapist somewhere.)

Oh, and because I don't want 2034983 platforms opening up, I'm gonna stick with just 1 platform. The one that came first, does things better and seems to like me.
