This bad boy sits next to me taking up over half of my desk
It took a good month to build adding bits on every night
It's about 1m long and pretty impressive and detailed up close in real life
Thought some of you Star Wars fans out there might appreciate it...

I remember at work we used to sell these and we tryed to make a display model, we did in the end, but it took up so much room. They are so KICK ASS. Not as kick ass as the life size Yoda though.

Ah, Lego... memories of a childhood that was destined to lead to architect school.

Fifteen years later and I'm a filmmaker. Who knew.

In my golden years as a Lego Maniac, I could've assembled one of those bad boys in under three hours. Then immediately taken it apart and built something else. Man, I used to be a fiend.

Hmm... maybe I'll dig out some of my old models next time I'm home...

I have the TIE Interceptor from the Ultimate Collectors line. It's pretty cool. The Falcon was like $500, wasn't it? That was well outside my price range at the time :(

Very cool. Did you buy the "kit" or did you just purchase a bunch of pieces? I'd enjoy doing something like this greatly.
