My muffins

I'm trying to bake muffins! When i bake small muffins they turn out great, but when i try to make them bigger they just get burnt on the outside and... goeey on the inside W00t do i dew?

Perhaps try making a different kind of muffin? Or keep a close eye on them when you're baking? At worst, start using a different recipe or just make smaller muffins, only more of them.

You're probably cooking the large muffins at the temperature for small muffins.
Just google muffin recipes and make sure that they are the size you want.

I know frak all about cooking, but honestly, how was this not the first thing you tried when they first burned Op? Seems pretty obvious.

Turn down the oven and heat them slower.

And if that doesn't work cover them in tin foil halfway through cooking.

Fan assisted oven?

Gas or electric?

Muffins wont cook in an electric oven. period.

Some of us want to cook but never had anyone to teach us, so we just trial and error everything and ask questions when we hit a brick wall.
