So, yeah. I'm getting a PC soon, and joining the glorious master race. And for some strange, perverted reason I trust the judgement of random people on the internet. So please, have a gander at my specs and tell me what you think. I'm not listing the names, just links. So click on them if you be interested. Please.

I'm not a big fan of AMD or ATI but that's a fine machine. You've hit a lot of price/performance sweet spots, and I'm sure it'll do well with most things you run on it, unless you're rolling with a big monitor. My girlfriend still has a 1600x1050 monitor and her aging 5770 card is more than adequate for everything she plays.

Welcome to the "Master Race".

Thanks man, great help. What do you mean about a big monitor? I have a 24 inch 1920 x 1080 monster ready,is that a problem?

Well it's not a PROBLEM, per se, it's just a higher resolution, so your video card needs to work harder, which means you can't necessarily just slap everything to high and expect a steady frame rate.

I run at 1920 x 1080 myself, with a 560ti. I fall below 60 FPS on some games (GW2 is a prime culprit here), and Arkham City got downright chuggy in a couple of sequences with everything cranked up. The 6850 is a good p/p card and I think you're making a smart budget choice with it, but it's not particularly beefy.
