I just really wanted to say this to those people who think because they play a war-like shooter that they are masters of war.

A shooting war game is a shooting war game no matter how much different things you add to it i.e. GRAVITY. But i was kinda pissed at people who do play BC2. They were like. "Hur Hur Look at those MW2 pussies with heartbeat sensors Hur Hur fags." It was like they considered themselves the fucking Green Berets of Realistic shooters. LIKE IT MATTERS. It is a game. A different one because it is a little more realistic than MW2.

It is just annoying that those people who think they are cooler and more badass than people who play MW2. Its a game, shit. It is something to do, not base your life and time around.

So? MW2 people do the same thing in reverse. Why get worked up over it? It's really just people trying to promote the game they enjoy over others, albeit at the level of a 7 year old child.

Love the avatar, by the way.

Bad Company 2 has as many idiots as any other game, you just can't hear them because you can only hear your squad so you don't have to mute as many people.

Heartbeat sensors are pretty cheap, but then again so is spotting on BC2. If you see someone you press a button and it lets everyone know where they are. But either way, Bad Company 2 does take more skill than Modern Warfare 2.

But saying a shooting war game is a shooting war game is just wrong. That's like saying all RTS's are exactly the same thing or every platformer is a Mario rip off...

While I agree with you entirely on the rest of your post, this I have to disagree with. Calling out the guys position is hardly cheap and makes sense in its own way. Also, I suck at MW2, I just die constantly and don't have any fun. On the other hand, I do quite well at BC2, so I don't think it takes more skill. I think BC2 takes more tactical awareness.

In any event, I definitely enjoy Bad Company more.

Your point? Its like that with every game, hell its like that for every GENRE! I remember one time in particular when I was playing a demo for Two Human. Some random person I played with sent me a message, in caps, just yelling "NEEEERRRRDDD!!!!".

Atleast cod have hardcore mode. I know I haven't exactly given it a chance.
fuck people being able to run 20 miles without needing a breather
I want socom in first person form.
BC2 does have a hardcore mode, didn't get the demo but I presume it was added in after it was released. And I've wondered about the sprinting myself, but I put it down to the fact that the levels can be so big, if your character was to run out of breath every few seconds it'd take too long to get to an objective.

In relation to the OP, I always think of people who are like this as 'gamer jocks'. Like someone who plays ice hockey saying their sport is tougher than american football. In case they haven't realised, they're playing a computer game.

"Hardcore" doesn't mean anything. They should make "Super-Realistic". First you get shot once, the discharged, then develope a mental disease from the stresses of war, and then you die. See? Perfect realism!
