My School and the 2012 political map

My school system started today, and we all received our small little rule book/planner that has some helpful little things in the front few pages like math equations. I looked at the map section to see potential doodle material and discovered the hilarity of it. It IS a 2012 political map...I think. The funny thing is that

1. The USA owns Canada/Mexico/Greenland/Iceland
2. South Africa owns Madagascar and vast majority of southern Africa
3. Belgium is located in Africa and not Europe
4. France ate half of Europe, reducing Germany to a tiny little state smaller than Austria, and they own Italy entirely
5. Scandinavia is one super area, excluding Finland and about half of Norway/Sweden which belongs to Russia
6. Russia owns everything up to tiny Germany
7. Turkey owns Arabia in it's entirety, including Egypt
8. India owns Most of Pakistan, Nepal, and Burma (And their flag is wrong, It's White, Blue, and Brown)
9. Japan owns Korea and a small chunk of Manchuria
10. China...apparently switched back to it's old flag with the dragon on it and ate Mongolia
11. Australia is actually 3 countries
12. Spain lost the Argon area and ate Portugal

If you don't believe me well...I really can't make this stuff up. In case your wondering I live in a small town in Nebraska

It's like some weird combination between a pre-Great War map and a map for the hypothetical future...

The "Fuck it, that'll do!"-spirit towards political geography is both slightly disquieting and rather appealing at once.

Maybe it is done regionally?
That, or they are mixing the scenarios from like every major war in Europe.

Agreed. Loathe as I am to say "pics or it didn't happen", I really want to see this.

sounds like someones Europa 3 playthrough. Some crazy shit can go down in that game. Ive seen Gotland take over half of Europe, the rise of the Scottish Empire, Brittany (not to be confused with Britain) claiming North America, Austria being kicked out of Europe and forming their own empire in Russia (okay, so technically I kicked them out of Europe and forced them into conflict with the Golden Horde, but details!)

Although my personal favorite in Europa 3 was when I forced England to break off from Great Britain and forced the two to fight to the death.

EDIT: actually the more I look at it the more it sounds like an Europa game, especially since France is overpowered as hell in that game. they are known to be the Great Blue Blob and are the single most powerful nation on the map. There are a few other "blob" nations such as Spain/Castille and Austria, but neither of them are consistently as powerful as France who usually requires a super alliance to take down.
