I have a 40" LCD TV by Seiki. everytime the power gets cut off to unexpectedly (IE power outage/surge), the standby light doesnt come on once power is restored and it won't turn on. This is very odd considering it's plugged into a good quality surge protector, and everything else plugged into said power bar won't be affected when this happens.
it's happened twice in the recent months during storms, normally when the power just cuts out briefly and comes back on. however i just unplugged it to move it to a different room and now it's doing the same thing when i plug it back in. normally if i leave it unplugged for a day or two it'll work again.
any idea why this is happening? how can i speed up the process? or prevent it from happening in the future? i've tried different cords and it's never been on when this has happened from a power outage.
