Well from what I've heard now Namco Bandai won't be bringing any more of the .hack games over. I'm sorry I don't have a direct source for this since I just saw this on facebook along with a quote from Hiroshi Matsuyama the president of CyberConnect2 who make the .hack series. The quote is "The .hack games are only coming out in Japan now. If you want the games to come over, ask Namco Bandai Games America on Facebook". Granted the problem with this is Namco Bandai Games America doesn't have a wall to tell them on so people are going to the Namco Bandai page to tell them. So I'm going to link you to that page if you want to tell them. Honestly the .hack series is my favorite game series ever and I seriously want them to come over here. They all sold well with the G.U. series selling almost 3 million total worldwide. So if you want to say anything to them then here is the link for Namco Bandai's wall.
http://www.facebook.com/NamcoBandai?sk=wall&filter=1
If you don't know about the series then don't do anything unless you plan on getting any of them. Sorry if that sounds rude but it's supposed to be everyone showing they will buy the next game if it comes over and that statement is kinda meaningless if you are just saying that and don't care either way.
EDIT: Ok here's a mild source for it.

Well, did they sell well?

I know Bamco is pretty iffy with bringing stuff over if it doesnt do well, Im still waiting for a bunch of Ports of SRW and the continuation of Endless frontier.

I mentioned the G.U. series sold almost 3 million total. That was 3 games. I don't have any real sources for these unfortunately that was from wikipedia though it did have a source. Though the success of the original 4 part series is the reason that they made the G.U. series so I think it's safe to assume that they do sell well.

I understand that Original 4 games Did well, but I am fairly certain that sequel games didnt do as well as the first 4. and Like I said, they are pretty iffy on things.

I know of them being iffy. Ugh they are annoying sometimes. Also I just mentioned the sales of the sequel series. The MMO has since been closed down but that was released in 2005. Also I just read they sold very well with G.U. vol.1 selling 100k the first day in Japan alone.

Well we stopped getting them after the first 4, only right they stop giving them to you too.

I loved the first four, I love .hack...ah well, Namco Bandai are still ok in my books, not like they've stopped giving us Tales games too...yet

Bandai won't bring games over? SHOCK!

No, actually, not shocked at all. Though it was a particularly nasty bit of salt in the wound when they released IDOLM@STER skins for my planes in Ace Combat 6, but wouldn't bring the game itself over.

well you cant take the Jap sales into account because Bamco doesnt take them into account for Overseas ports, what their reasoning behind this is? I have no clue.

I only know that they are very sketchy about it.

Do I wish they would bring more of their franchises over? YES

Will they? not unless there is a huge demand for it, like 1 million people importing a game in one of their series.

Which kinda makes me sad.

Actually there's a bunch of DS Tales of games that they never bothered doing anything with. Also Tales of Graces is pretty old in Japan with it's sequel already out there since September last year.

Well this was less about posting news and more about telling people about the head of CC2 telling people if they want it to go on facebook and tell them. I do agree Namco Bandai doing this is pretty standard. Also ouch about the Ace Combat thing. Though that is kinda weird as hell of those skins being in a a flight game. Unless I really know absolutely nothing about the Ace Combat series and for some reason that fits.

While this is true, I believe it's been like this for a long time. Out of 13 games I think we've only had 5 or 6 depending on the country, from the NES to now and Graces and Xillia coming here at somepoint in the future, they're treating us the same as usual.

Does this ever happen reverse? Like something released in Europe that doesn't make it stateside, or something made in the states that doesn't go to Europe/Japan?

Almost, Xenoblade Chronicles, the sequels to Hotel Dusk and Another Code. The Mario Kart games make it to Europe before America

All western games take a really long time to get to Japan, I think it's getting better now but still, localization isn't great, never has been.

EDIT: You think that's messed up, Fable III an English game with a fully English team from an England based studio gets released in America before England...what the hell guys!?

Well it's published by Microsoft so there's that. Not saying it's right just saying it.

Yeah, that was completely baffling, I have no idea how they managed to fuck that up.

Well aside from the first 4 where you play as Kite I haven't seen any of the other .hack games over here. Kinda pisses me off really, I've always wanted to play G.U. after playing the first 4.

G.U is good, it is similar to the first 4, but it's faster, graphics are more cartoony but it looks a lot better.

The problem I had with the first four wasn't the story but how it was really repitivie and the combat was sort of slow and felt very satic. While reptition is a big part of G.U, it plays a lot better and there is a lot more stuff to do.
