Ok, I'm annoyed by the ending as well. But before landing on earth there were plenty of amazing moments, here's my 3. (Spoilers)

1. Curing the Genophage.
I haven't played through again yet but I had both Mordin and Wrex alive, the whole sequence, where I chose to tell them I'd been asked to sabotage it and eventually culminating in Mordins self sacrifice was just beautiful, not to mention talking to Eve about the Krogan returning to their old ways. And really seems to reflect my past decisions (this may just be an illusion though but hey! that's good writing then). When I completed this segment I was overjoyed, lots of fun.

2. Quarian-Geth war.
While it felt a little rail roaded (I was strongly against the war in ME2) but punching Admiral Gerrel felt great (and this was my Paragon Shep! I was just SO angry about the WAR). And Legions reveal that the loss of their space station (reading about the desperate distress signals being sent out by Geth that were blown into space made me sad) reduced their intelligence and made them turn to the Reapers for help, I almost slapped myself, of course they would!

3. Crew Conversations.
As small as it was, I really liked not having completely stationary crew. Walking into the kitchen and listening to Garrus and James trying to out do each other in war stories. And the banter between Mordin and Eve etc etc. Smaller crew but they felt more fluid and real. Made me care about them a whole lot more.

Anyway, those are my three.

Screw just 3, I loved the game.
90% of the game was awesome. the remaining 10% (the ending, kai leng, MP impacting SP campaign, a few other random irritants and tidbits) were disappointing at best and unforgivable at worst.

three things i liked though, in no particular order:

potential spoilers:
the elevator fight in the citadel ... wished it was longer. but the verticality of the level added a whole and completely new dimension to the combat.

the fight in london. hectic, strenuous and hard without being overwhelming. best part of the game.

some of the choices were truly gut wrenching if you chose some of the renegade options. i had strong lingering feelings of guilt after offing a few characters I really cared about.

"Had to be me. Someone else might have gotten it wrong."

"Emergency. Induction. Port."

Giving Tali that rock.

I tried to keep it as spoiler free as I could.

That one. It's only a short conversation but that bit made me splutter coffee at my TV. "It's a straw Tali".

Second would be the conversation with Ashley when she's drunk on the floor. That made me laugh.

Shooting TIM. I've been waiting to do that since ME2.

1. all those epic moments eg. mordins death/genophage cure, and the end of the quarian Geth war
2. All the new weapons and the fact that i wasnt restricted as a adept to just use the pistol and SMGs
3. the multiplayer, im probably one of the few people that actually liked it

Shooting crap with Garrus.

Meeting back up with Jack.

Meeting back up with Wrex to blow stuff up, like old times.

Really, most of the game. I loved nearly every minute of it ('cept the ending of course). The combat, the epic-ness of it all, the complexity of your interactions with the world, how nearly all of your choices, even many of the small ones, returned in some way to effect the stuff in the game... Hell, didn't even mind Kai Leng that much. Great game to end a great series. Though, the stupid reaper alertness system can go die in a fire.

1) The graphics were a nice step up
2) Liara wanting to immortalize Shepard in that time capsule.
3) Killing the Reaper on foot. There needed to be way more of this.

It's hard to pick three. Everything aside from the ending (and Kai Leng) was beautiful. Seeing how your decisions have shaped the galaxy, for good or ill. Watching how each of the people you've met has developed, how you've touched their lives and how they in turn touch others. Watching relationships between your friends and crew. Doing the impossible, uniting all peoples against a common foe, making the galaxy a better place for everyone.
Which makes it particularly irking that the ending included none of these things.

But if I had to pick three moments that were even more awesome? That were awesome enough on their own to force me to love the game even if the rest had sucked?
1. "Had to be me. Somebody else might have gotten it wrong."
2. Giant thresher maw vs Reaper.
3. Forging peace between the Quarians and the Geth.

Runners up include giving Tali the rock, the "emergency induction port," walking in on Tali and Garrus in the engine room, punching Admiral Han'Gerrel, Mordin singing "Krogan Queen," and many more that would take too long to list.

Weapon customization system
Multiplayer (for a week or two anyways)
Everything except the final 5 minutes in the single player, basically.

1. The reapers themselves. I don't know what it is about them, they just seem so awesome and badass. They looked great in mass effect 3 and I am glad they didn't choose the variety of crab-like reapers in the background of the mass effect 2 ending (they just looked stupid). And the sounds they make is really fitting and conveys their space beast/machine nature.

2.Quarian/geth war and its resolution. The way your choices from previous games and in mass effect 3 can lead to having the two parties live in peace AND have the geth strengthened was great.

3.Improved RPG elements. While not quite what it used to be in mass effect 1, mass effect 3 has chosen to add the much asked for rpg elements ME2 lacked. Weapon upgrading, new guns and armor at a more often pace and customization was something that really sat well with me. They could have done a bit more here though.

The overarching story was stupid from the moment they introduced the prothean mega weapon, but I loved the rest. Thane & Mordin, combat was fun, the multiplayer unexpectedly good, the genophage resolution, the geth/quarian situation.... yeah mostly good, bar the overarching plot that hasn't really survived close scrutiny since ME1 ended. But I enjoyed it, despite the lazy lazy LAZY ending- the extended version of which I am looking forward to, but will always feel should have been in the finished product.

2. EVERYTHING involving Garrus
3. Telling Chobot that open news broadcasts from a STEALTH ship in a time of war isnt the best idea

One question, if you were paragon then why would you kill the heretic geth (if that's what you mean anyway).

Anyway, I thought the entire game was fantastic (well except the you know what part).

I especially loved how the characters didnt feel like emotionless robots anymore (I almost cried when I heard Admiral Koris asking if his crew made it).

1) Liara. I chose Tali as the love interest, but by the end of the game it appeared that my Shepard dug Liara much more than Tali. I'm bummed that I never saw how much potential she had as a character.

2) Vanguard. Seriously, fully upgraded Vanguard was the sweetest shit ever.

3) Gar-bear. Garrus fucking Valkarian. What a boss.

Every fiber of my being told me to just leave that weirdly animated sleezball on the Citadel, but I just couldn't resist it.

I talked to her once, and regretted it the rest of the game.
