Congratulations, you have a baby! You're not entirely sure sure how it happened, but you have a child under your responsibility now, so it's probably a good idea to name it. You can name him/her whatever you like, but keep in mind that they may get their asses kicked because of it in the future. Try to follow the standard naming conventions of wherever it is that you live (ex. one first name and one second name in the US), but feel free to get creative if you really want to, and try to give a reason for why you've named them that (besides it just sounding cool).

Personally, I would give my son the first name Michael, after my grandfather, and the second name Atticus, after my personal hero.

The Doctor.
Then use one of those photo age-enhancing things to get a picture of what he will look like when he is older.
I'll always show him episodes of Doctor Who on the T.V as he grows up, with the picture of his likely future self on the wall/mantle piece/etc.
Then it will hit him that a picture of him has been on the wall for years and years.
At this point, I will have spent the life savings on a TARDIS replica, and have it in a shed in the garden. As soon as he starts asking questions about the picture, I tell him I'll explaining everything in the morning.
In the night, I dismantle the shed, revealing the TARDIS.
The next day, I convince him he's a time lord, and point to the TARDIS in the garden.
Laugh as he opens it to find nothing but a phone.

Hah! Best parent ever award goes to you.

As Russell Howard suggested, I would like to call my first born 'the project'.

The more I hear the name Damien, the more I like it.

Damien Cox.

Sounds pretty badass!

Seriously though, I have no clue, really.

Ultimately it would be a discussion between the hypothetical girlfriend and me! XD

If I had a son I'd name him Jimi. I'd teach him to play guitar like a boss too. Now he's named after a rock god and can rock.

Elias.

It just sounds cool... and people can call my son Eli. I dunno why I like it... Perhaps its to do with my love of Let The Right One In.

Sean if it's a boy.
My family hates that name but my boyfriend is dead-set on Sean if it's a boy.
Dunno about girls names, though.
I like Lily.

James or Ryan if the child is a boy.

Kelly or Rachael if the child is a girl.

Don't asked me about his/ her second name since I do want her/ him have a chinese name like my but since I don't understand the Chinese language properly I don't know which Chinese names is suitable for my child.

What I don't get is how parents choose the 'generational name', because it's used for all their children... there must be a limit to how many unisex names there are... :/

Still, while I can think of Chinese names for kids, they're all incredibly cheesy and cliche...

OT:

Bad memory time... girl: Irene (with Greek pronunciation).

I want to have three children, two girls and one boy I shall name them Stacy, Narnia and Sparta. This way my wife, Stacy's mom will have it going on. Whenever I do something for Narnia, I shall shout out "for Narnia" and when ever I introduce my third child I shall yell "this is SPARTA!"

On a more serious note.

If it's a girl then Catlin.

If it's a boy then Doyle.

No reason I just like those names.

I'm going with Dr. Cox' philosophy that a child with a tough-sounding name will become a tough-like person, therefore, in case of a boy: 'Jack'. Perhaps 'Sparrow' as a middle name.
If I want a cynic, I'll call him 'Holden'.

As for a girl's name, I have no clue. Clue... Chloe! Or Claire maybe?
Perhaps I'll go classic and call her Mary.

If it's a girl, Anea. Short and sweet.

If it's a boy, what ever it is he will keep my last name. His middle name will be Duke so it will be (blank) Duke Devlin.

I love the name Kai, so if I had a boy I'd probably call him that. Or Ben (Benjamin), Ben is a really good name.

For a girl, I don't know. I've never planned baby names, I just have certain names I really like. Maybe Abigail or something?

Luke

So whenever I go to parent's evenings or sports days or anything I can put on a deep voice and growl "I am Luke's Father!" And I'll start any important conversation with "Luke, I am your father, and as such... yaddyyadddyya"
