Penguin, it is faster than the jelly-fish and FAR more intelligent.
House Cat, a fruit bat doesn't pose a threat to anything larger than an orange.

Alright. First thing first: The folks around here don't like versus threads.

But since you seem competent, I'll let this slide. Others will probably not be so considerate..

On topic, however:
Giant Scorpion would impale and poison the gorilla, leaving it to puke up it's organs.
The jellyfish would sting the piss out of the penguin.
The cat would eventually catch the bat, and since the bat doesn't really have any other advantages other than flight, it will most assuredly be killed.
And finally, the starfish would severely harm the duck, depending on what type of starfish we're talking here.

This is probably the best versus thread I've seen in a long time. Just sayin'.

OT: Scorpion, as it could quickly sting the gorilla and scurry away, Penguin, as it is not only faster than a jellyfish, but also has the distinct advantage of having a brain to work with (if it was a box jellyfish though, it would be a different story), House Cat (does this really need explanation), and Duck (once again, no explanation required here).

First is a tie, gorilla smashes scorpion, dies later from sting. Next is penguin runs away, jellyfish wins by ring out. Same goes to bat v cat, and duck wins to the paperweight.

Gorilla- Even the largest scorpions don't stand a chance against a gorilla. No contest.
Penguin- Again no contest. Jellyfish might as well be served on a dinner plate to the birds.
House Cat- Fruit bat would attempt to flee. If they were in an enclosed area, the cat would eventually manage to grab the bat.
Duck- Once again, no contest. The starfish isn't even capable of fighting back.

It just seems rather pointless. But we've been getting a lot of crap threads lately, haven't we? And it's kind of a versus thread. And I have an immense hatred for hypothetical animal battles.

Yeah, it's not a great thread, but it provides some discussion, and he(she?)'s new. Cut him(her?) some slack
